You are absolutely right. What kid doesnt want to win? All I am saying is that we will win, and we will do it the right way and that is the way most of us I think like it. Once the winning starts on a regular basis, you will see even more interests from other recruits.
I am liking what I see thus far.

No doubt, man. There's a right and wrong way to do anything. No disrespect to Florida, but hopefully Lyons sees that the hard way might be the better way.

I'll take winning a national championship the Notre Dame way any day. We will get our due in the next few years I think.

Just wanting to clarify... is this a quote from September of 2010... or from September of 1999??? Or any year in between... because honestly, I have heard this every year since...

just sayin.

Wayne is a smart kid, he should realize the problem when that many players are arrested at a program. Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if Stanford and ND are his top two. The problem is both can say how he get get early PT because of our secondaries. ;) I honestly never thought we'd land him, but it's looking better. Long way to go though.

According to Tom Lemming he thinks Lyons top two is Notre Dame and Stanford.

That is good news. I never thought Florida was in the running much for him after he made a comment about wanting to get out of his "comfort zone" and get away from home. I think he is Irish when all is said and done.

Question, do we have his major? I remember reading something in regard to it, but I can't remember if we do or don't.

I think the winner of the Stanford vs. ND game gets him. We are very comparable programs right now with strong academics, good coaches and bright futures. If we don't perform on the field this year and Stanford does I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up Cardinal.

And for what it's worth... while we kick Stanford's butt in national rankings for our business school, theology, philosophy, etc.... they kick our butt in most EG disciplines. At the same time, I would imagine from what a couple friends say about grad school out there that it would be much easier to multi-task EG and a varsity sport at Notre Dame then at Stanford.

Agree, but i think the only advantage we have is BK. I think Harbaugh is looking else where at seasons end.

In the Friday observer special edition of Irish Football, an article quotes Mike Frank as saying, "Notre Dame probably leads for Lyons right now"

Well, if that wasn't the kiss of death, I don't know what is...

Until I hear/see otherwise, I still see him going UF.

Really like this young man. Really hope we get him. Of all the people out there..., I want him the most. I think he would see the playing field pretty quickly and we really need a kid of this caliber at that position.

He is a great athlete and wether we get him or not we have one hell of a class right now but if we can land him it'll make it one of those classes that we will hold to a higher standard. With that much talent comin in and crist still having a couple years of eligibility left we could see a very bright light at the end of this tunnel

To Jason: on Bigfoot--Aaron Lynch wears size 17--all the QBs he plays think they've run into concrete evidence. Ooops...maybe that's not what you meant. Go, Aaron! Go, Wayne---and Go to ND!!
