Latest ESPN reports have him to Miami.

As an unapologetic Lakers fan, I would like to say I hope it happens. I think it could be one of the biggest failed experiments in NBA history, and I'm on the record that Lebron does not win a title in Miami. Could really tarnish his legacy. People forget his meltdown in the playoffs this year. What happens when he splits the shots with D-Wade???

I honestly think that ruined the Bulls chance if anyone can remember what happened with Boozer after Lebron's season thats why.

if i'm not mistaken they still have enough for one more max contract

I hope you're right, and I said that there was no way this would happen because of all the egos involved and LeBron basically admitting he couldnt take a team on his own (with another star of course but not another all-world alpha dog player!) to a title, as MJ did and Kobe has done. But as a fellow Laker fan, this move scares the crap out of me, and it'll scare the crap out of the NBA as well. D-Wade has that winner's gene that LeBron has lacked, and now you have 2 30 pt, 8 assist type of players, with a (somewhat soft) big man who can average 20 and 10 himself. I don't know who's going to play the 1 or the 5, or the bench, but either way, this is one scary-looking big 3.

The only way to beat this team is going to be to sag off of LeBron and Wade, and hope neither of them get hot. They are both poor, but very streaky, shooters. LeBron has turned into a pretty damn good 3 point shooter during the regular season b/c of his hot streaks, but has been really bad in the playoffs. We'll see, but damn, the Heat could be scary good...

yea you're right but thats all they have. they have no bench and if all three go there then they don''t have much money to spend on it. they are talking about a sign and trade with bosh and besley. i think if this happens they will be good in the east but will still be behind the teams in the west because of the depth off the bench.

My brother is a professor at the U of Miami, and he has a buddy who works in the sales dept of the Heat. He sent me a text a couple of hours ago saying that the Heat have cut sales commission from 9% to 3% suddenly this morning. So obviously, the Heat must know that he's coming to Miami. Sounds like a done deal...

if lebron does join wade and bosh, it will never work out, in order for that team to be able to compete all season they will need those three on the court almost all game because the bench will have no talent at all, or at least unproven talent.

so they might be able to sell alot of tickets and have all the fan fare, they will not be able to last all season long having to play almost all the minutes, and of recently wade has had some injury issues. but we shall see what happens tonight.

although i elect not to watch the "special" they are having on ESPN just for the fact it is completely ridiculous and some what disrespectful to the game itself. i am still curious but won't find out until after the fact.

yea, they added boozer, and still have room for a max deal player. CHI is in great shape, just not to get Lebron. Do they go after David Lee? he is not a max deal guy, they would still have $$$$ for other role players. David Lee (a 21pts-11 reb guy) is a solid player, not a superstar, but a real solid, steady player. I think he would good be a very fit on that CHI roster.

You might consider taking it out of your signature then.

Sorry to Cleveland. This whole thing was weird.

I don't care about the NBA at all, but that whole ESPN Special on him was really dumb. They have to have a one hour special called "The Decision" on ESPN all becuase he is naming which team he is going to sign with? Sounds to me like Mr. James should work on that ego of his.

Ego??? Why, because if his one hour special? Because of his consistently telling us during his interviews on and after the show how much he did for the city and the organization? Because he treated this recruitment like a high school senior doing a hat dance instead of a grown man? Because he KNEW how much he meant to the city of Cleveland but yet still decided it was apropos of him to announce it on national TV during a one hour (that really turned out to be a five hour) television special, thus breaking the hearts of millions of fans (who worshiped you) in front of the nation instead of in a more quiet, dignified fashion? Hmmm, sorry, but I really don't see this 'ego' thing.

Feeling bad for Cleveland fans right now. It's one thing to lose your hero, but the way he did it in front of the entire nation, without even delivering a ring (but still keeping the "King" nickname) was just wrong...

BGIF... I put this back up and you've pissed me off with your comment why you deleted it.

LEBRON JAMES IS A FREAKING $HITHEAD.

Had to get it off my chest.

That is all....

Bill simmons had a good article on this today. He says all of this was most likely a charade, this was all decided years ago. The players had camera crews following them around filming the whole thing. They had to manufacture drama ala 'Keeping up with Odashians'. All of this back and forth with CHI and Miami was manufactured BS. They duped everyone.

This article was out this morning, before The Decision was announced.

Bill Simmons: Countdown to the LeBron James decision - ESPN

"Red Flag No. 1: Wade and Bosh (who have the same agent, by the way) hired documentary crews to follow them around. As any reality-show junkie knows, if there's no drama, you have to manufacture it. Well, how could a free-agency documentary (or reality show, or web series, or whatever they do with this footage) have drama if both guys decided where they were going weeks ago?"

"Red Flag No. 3: Wade is 28 years old and just finishing a bitter divorce. He's earned max money for exactly three years and doesn't have a second payday looming in 2016 like Bosh and LeBron do. As we learned with Antoine Walker and Allen Iverson, "wealthy" superstars are never quite as wealthy as we think. Walking away from a sixth guaranteed year in Miami (and no state income tax) when he's battled serious injuries in the past? No way. This was his one chance to bank as much money as possible. It was always going to be Miami."

"I think it's a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don't you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you? That's why I'm holding out hope that LeBron signs with New York or Chicago (or stays in Cleveland), because he'd be saying, "Fine. Kobe, Dwight and Melo all have their teams. Wade and Bosh have their team. The Celtics are still there. Durant's team is coming. I'm gonna go out and build MY team, and I'm kicking all their asses." That's what Jordan would have done. Hell, that's what Kobe would have done."

i feel really bad for cleveland. i hope lebron and sentreal henderson become really good friends down in miami. if lebron would have taken the long term deal 4 years ago the could have signed superstar help. this guy is a plauge. i hope everyone remembers how he quit in the boston series and pouted on the court. he is no king. i hope he can never walk around cleveland with his head held high. mr james u say u are a 25 year old man then start acting like it. that being said i still gave my bro(cleveland fan) a ton a shit about this!!!!!!!!!

Ring count:

Kobe - 5
LBJ - 0

Dan Gilbert was right, Lebron has got a pass up till this point. By my count, It will be at least 5 years before he is the discussion as being better than Kobe. Even then, he cant be compared to Kobe, because Miami is Dwade's team. LBJ is 2nd fiddle.
