The weather itself can be anywhere from 50's and sunny to 30's and raining (which IMO is far worse than 20s and snowing). But if it's a good big game - Miami, hopefully - you won't care either way. BC might be over by halftime and if the weather sucks you'll be sitting on your hands thinking about the cold, OTOH if it's pleasant it may feel like a party. SMU's a night game, and also one of our tougher opponents, so probably fun? But hard to say at this juncture.
Also I'm not sure we've played a night game that late in the season before. Regardless, like PumpDog said, if you dress for it and bring the right attitude you'll be fine.

Nailed it. I was at Sr. Day vs. Wake forest in 2023, it was a high in the low 60s, sunny, beautiful day. Go back to Sr. Day vs. BYU in 2013 10 years earlier...single digit windchills and we were all frozen, but great game by Rees and co. taking out Taysom Hill.

Layers are your friend (including the beer/whiskey layer if you imbibe).

Love it! I saw Matt Freeman report on it (see below) and had a glimmer of hope, good to hear, you can never have too much veteran D-line depth, especially from a consummate teammate like Junior.

Need some insight into November home games. How have your experiences been with the weather during those games? I've always done Sept/Oct games but because of kids sports schedules, thats probably not happening this year.

I'm in the same boat with sports, but as others have said the November weather slate can be up and down. I've seen damn near close to 60-70 temps at kickoff, and then some cold ass snow games like Syracuse or FSU. The later night games you typically want to bundle up obviously, but keep in mind too that even if you have a relatively pleasant 3:30 kickoff the game ends around 8ish and it may turn drastically chilly. If you've got a long walk to the car it can be even chillier, I feel like being in the stadium provides a slight bit of insulation if you're shoulder to shoulder.

What you have to really watch for is the wind. If it's 45 and little to no wind you may not need more than a sweatshirt or light coat, but if that wind is coming in strong off the lake it can be biting. I'd suggest checking the weather regularly leading up to kickoff and be prepared for any scenario.

To be fair, Iowa St was preseason #22 last year. And Penn St retained a good amount of their talent + added Iowa St’s best offensive talent.

Georgia is good but it really feels like they’re hyped on what they did 3+ years ago. They haven’t looked like a real contender since 2023. Their schedule is pretty easy and I’m sure they’ll win 10+ games but they seem to be the bottom of the IMO true contenders (ND, OSU, Texas, Oregon, IU, Miami, UGA).

I mean they’ve lost 3 regular season games and won the SEC twice in the last 3 years combined.

What's interesting is only two SEC teams in the top seven. Then five more in the top 13.
I feel like that's where the SEC lives now. Not the best of the best, but good enough to gobble up a ton of CFP slots.

As much as has been pointed out by the media and fans that the SEC isn't the juggernaut anymore, they're still getting recognition as the best.
