Thanks to all those chicks on SCOTUS (and a cuck) we are going to see some nasty stuff on treatment of all these visitors. Wait until we make every tourist take a pregnancy test on the way in- has to be all b/c we can't "profile". How about student/work visa- quarterly pregnancy tests and immediate deportation if it comes up positive. Y'alls hair will be on fire over that but it is the logical response.

Actions have consequences. IDGAF if you are a violent criminal or not. Get out. Time for more moderate solutions has now passed. Chicks and a cuck's fault for taking away ambiguity to create an absolute free for all. Good luck getting Congress to fix it. Maybe this pushes Convention or States over the top.

LOL - All the enlightened on here that think Dems stopped cheating after Daley won it for JFK. Republicans have known they have to beat the cheat for decades. Amazing when a state cleans up their process it gets redder. Not that Rs are immune to grift but GTFOOHWTS on elections currently having integrity. One day, show your ID, count up the paper ballots that night. It is laughable people defend the current shitshow.

Daley, why don't we just go back to Boss Tweed and New York's Tammany Hall and James Michael Curley and the Irish immigrant voters. It's 2026 FCOL.

I mean Republicans have done a lot already to help minimize any voting tomfoolery with like one polling place for an entire city that's open from 10am to 3pm.

The shit show is "the vote has been compromised" bullshit this admin is pushing down our throats.

And btw, I truly believe that Tech Bros. like Musk helped Trump cheat going all the way back to 2016.
That's why he's so pissed about 2020 - He and his crony cheaters didn't anticipate massive mail-in ballots due to COVID and that thwarted their 2020 plans to pop the cork.

Thanks for reinforcing my point. Cheating and elections go hand in hand.

LOL - election denier! Mail in was and continues to be the most easily defrauded vote method in the world. In person, one day - why is that so threatening to some folks?

By extending the voting period you enable bad actors especially. The small minority that mobilize to "get out the vote" or whatever get a full month in most areas to operate. Compressing an election into a shorter period, not longer period is essential to returning some sanity to the process. It is a cottage industry, if it were only a day or two you could be on payroll to harvest much fewer people would do it than the full month paycheck they get now.

No issue with that, but leave it to the STATES to decide, and FCOL, why do we not give people the day off and have long enough hours and enough polling places to accommodate everyone? And of course, any polling place interference is prohibited.

I've never understood the entire day off to vote thing. It's not necessary and doesn't benefit either side over the other, so it's not a way to help one or the other. You can't shut down the country for a day. Most people still want to go out to eat, buy groceries, there's business to attend to, and etc. Giving everyone a partial day off or a few hours seems more than sufficient to accomodate everyone.

Some time off is better than nothing... Many countries around the world declare a national election a holiday and many hold them on the weekend.

Maybe it's not necessary for you, but working folks may have a hard time getting to the polls, again, especially when many red states limit # of places and voting hours to make it even harder for these folks.

Naive boomer statement, IMO. Teacher's union plays for keeps.

Not sure which thread to drop this in. Makes me wonder how many jurors didn't call the FBI. Diversity is our strength!

Buddy, you're really grasping at straws. This happened two years ago, and you're still talking about it?

Trump has been pardoning people THIS YEAR for far worse fraud than this - if they were brown people you'd be outraged.

Don't forget, the ringleader was a Whitey... A Whitey who initially tried to maintained that she was unaware of the massive illicit operation and she alleged that (Somalian) food site operators and staffers directly under her command actively deceived her.

Oh yeah, when state regulators initially detected anomalies and attempted to cut off pandemic funding for the program, she aggressively sued the department for racial discrimination. She used the ethnic backgrounds of her Somali co-conspirators as a legal shield to keep the fraudulent funds flowing. You gotta love this chick...

I agree. It is a bit curious the attention crimes by immigrants receive in comparison, though…

“Diversity is our strength” doesn’t leave much to the imagination.

You won’t get a response. If you do it will be 1) Immigrants must assimilate 2) Where did I say it was ok for white people to commit crimes?

It’s not crimes, it’s about colour.

Doesn't matter if the illegals are here from El Salvador, China or Denmark. You could see this through the lens of the average American who isn't excited about taxpayer money subsidizing illegals (healthcare, housing, etc), even moreso illegals who come here and commit crimes.

The only curious part about these scenarios is why one party seems all too eager to import more poor people from third world countries.

To state an alternate position on this class of issues: I neither "desire to import more poor people" nor "desire to throw more poor people out." My position is based upon a form of personal empathy and right-living which, through my Catholicism, says: If any persons arrive in my life, treat them as fellow human souls deserving of charity ... and certainly not as hostiles nor animals. I am for legal immigration, absolutely. I am for facilitating legal immigration in amounts greater than MAGAs (apparently.) I am not for assuming the "unproven worst" about anyone.

  • I am for legal immigration.
  • I am for the deportation of those who have illegally entered the United States, regardless of criminal history.
  • I may be for a resolution where some, not all, who have demonstrated the ability to pay taxes and be productive members of society can receive a pathway to USP status. Dependent on how it's written up.

I used to agree with #3. Now they can all GTFOOHWTS. Too much equivocation - get out and get back in line.

OMM can send them all to the Vatican and see how that works out. Suicidal empathy.

Are there any biblical consequences of people breaking immigration law and receiving good/ services at the expense of another person? Thou shall not steal, thou shall not murder, etc.

For experimental purposes, we could drop 1 million Americans on the lap of Mexico and see how Christian they act when they find out they have to provide housing, healthcare, food and education.

I wasn't referring to your responsibilities, but to those who knowingly broke our laws and receiving goods/ services at the expense of others. Do they hold any responsibility here? Are they not to blame? Your statement made it sound like the onus was solely on the US.

You brought Catholicism into the mix. Do the ten commandments apply to everyone, including those in third world countries?

If we took 1 million of our poor, uneducated and unskilled citizens and sent them to Mexico, do you think they would be welcomed with open arms in the name of Christianity?
