A handful of years back I had an interview at a company where Paris Johnson’s mom was a higher up and she was one of the three people conducting the interview. She was supposed to join virtually but due to connection issues had to join via phone and on speaker. While I was introducing myself I told her that through my research of the company I was aware that her son was a big time recruit. He had recently chosen Ohio State over ND and some others. I told her that I was a big Notre Dame fan that grew up in the South Bend area and was hoping that he was going to choose ND. She said no, he really found a home at Ohio State.
I didn’t get the job.
