Most on this board, both left and right, will agree with their side no matter what they say. Like eat a shit sandwich on command level toolery. Is it just because people who post in a political forum tend to be more polarized or is the general public this drone-minded?
I thought it was a disease of the left, but the right is giving them a run for their money these days.

They're all crooked, and many people are sheep. Our politics are the illusion of freedom and democracy. The parties used to agree on at least a few things and worked together, but now they agree on nothing because causing division and stoking fears helps drive in money. If everyone agreed there would be no incentive to raise funds and you wouldn't be able to blame the other side when shit inevitably hits the fan. They poke the fingers for the cameras and shake hands when the cameras stop rolling. They would rather we fight amongst ourselves instead of going after an inept Congress.

I find it's a lot more enjoyable touching grass and seeing the real world lately. I get sucked into the tribalism from time to time, but the more removed I am from the constant propaganda the more I see that life ain't that bad.

No idea why we aren't running with the Iranian prince or king that has been public recently. Seems as if the Iranians want him back

The money behind the new Iran War

Has Trump misunderstood Iran’s IRGC and the Basij forces?

A bullshit war with no solid, targeted end game in mind. Trump is winging it on behalf of his Sunni buddies and BB.
Hopefully, he realizes he can only do so much to influence whatever's next for Iran and its 90 million people.

The incalcitrant IRGC and Basij forces cannot be underestimated:

"In fact, some analysts believe the latest attacks on Iran and the assassination of Khamenei might even expand the IRGC’s control over the Iranian state."

I hope Trump is smart enough to become the one thing he's good at here (negotiating) and negotiate whatever best outcome the U.S. and Israel (and Sunni countries) can get and then leave it to the Iranian peeps to decide where they go next and get the hell out of there... and with one eye open while sleeping.

Americans and most MAGA don't want this war and certainly don't want "boots on the ground" and young American soldiers coming home in body bags.

Don't forget, this also is still a distraction from the Epstein files and Donnie's name mentioned 10s of 1,000 times in them.

And of course, he won't let an opportunity pass by to mix in a little Iranian-themed "election interference" to be one more talking point for his efforts to try to invalidate the midterms...

I'm shocked that Rubio said the quiet (but painfully obvious) part out loud. I can't believe Israel can drag us into a war like this.

Dothan ain't too bad actually. They have an army base. They train helicopter pilots there. Not the most exciting place but an easy drive to the Redneck Riviera (30A Florida)
Probably better than random midwest towns tbh, never seen a sadder collection of people than rural Ohio/PA/Indiana. People talking about "culture" as if the Bob Evans isn't the nicest restaurant in the town.

Are we over extended? Or maybe with the amount of money we spend towards defense we should have available defense systems for all of our bases.

Nah. Everything is good dude. Totally normal to have the consulate in Dubai and CIA station in Saudi get hit by drones on the same day.

Yeah I try to be nice and all but rural rust belt is the most depressing thing ever. I would say we have the same deal here with small dying towns but it really doesn't come close.

This video is so close to getting it. We are putting Chinas industrial capacity in a stranglehold by stopping the flow of Venezuelan and Iranian oil, but the fact that this motherfucker thinks that our increased defense budget goes to Saudi Arabia is fucking laughable. Like there’s no way he’s that stupid

The drive from like Hamilton ON and to like Cincinnati is one of the worst stretches anywhere in North America. I never see cars with shirts in the windows anywhere else. I can't believe people rag on the South as if the rust belt isn't the most hopeless place.

Two crazy things I've heard in the last few days re: this war, the military, and Donald Trump:

1) Hegseth stated in his speech at The Pentagon yesterday: "We will finish this on America first conditions of President Trump's choosing, nobody else's, as it should be." I guess he doesn't answer to Congress or the American People.

2) A commander addressing troops before the Iranian surge was set to begin, allegedly citing the Book of Revelation and the section specifically referring to Armageddon and the "imminent" return of Jesus Christ, told his troops "The war in Iran is all part of God's divine plan. And the commander stated that President Donald Trump "has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth." And soldiers said the commander "had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy."

This is a problem when 1) Everyone starts treating Trump as an Authoritarian "El Jefe" and 2) Christian Nationalist nut jobs infiltrate our government and military leadership and oriented towards Armageddon and End Times and that Trump is anointed by Jesus.

A prayer before battle for God to look over the soldiers and keep them safe is one thing, but allusions to Armageddon and End Times in the context of attacking and bombing Iran is quite another.

What is your source for point 2?
