I haven't been to campus since last April. How much progress has been made on the new building next to the practice facility?
Sound system definitely needs an upgrade. Wouldn't be shocked if some of the updates revolve around "theatrics" to enhance the gameday atmosphere. No clue what that would be, its damn near perfect as is, but im also old.
Put that money into preventing so many opposing fans of big programs in. Lol
Check it out yourself. Lots of cool timelapse and comparison things you can do on these webcams.I haven't been to campus since last April. How much progress has been made on the new building next to the practice facility?

Bringing the troughs back. Way more efficient. We've had enough of the long lines!Lmao why? What could they add $550M of? It’s pretty perfect as is IMO.
They spent $400M+ on Campus Crossroads that finished in 2017.
Would they add another building in the south endzone? That would throw off the road going through campus a bit.Only way I could see a $500M+ renovation would be if they enclosed south endzone as someone else mentioed. Would basically look like Lambeau then before the latest round of renovations in 2013 enclosed the whole thing.

Yeah, let's invest in finding a way to keep it Irish-centric on game day, no more seas of red (or whatever color opposing fan bases wear)Sound system definitely needs an upgrade. I would assume it would involve a significant upgrade to the video board. The Pats added this monster a few years back as part of a $250M renovation of Gillette Stadium:

Could see ND doing the same, while also enclosing the south end zone.

In most typical commercial construction that would be true, but keep in mind that most universities build things to last 50+ years. Couple that with the level of finish ND typically applies, what might normally cost $x/SF suddenly becomes $3x+/SF in this situation.Legitimately at a loss of thinking of anything that would cost nearly that much money
Kind of surprising they would rennovate again so soon. While ND still fills out the stadium, we've seen the sellout streak end in the last decade and more and more teams struggle to fill seats. The general feeling I've been told is more people have started to opt out of games so they can watch on their big LCDs in their home theatres.
Bumping this thread. Talked to a retired usher today and was told by him that Notre Dame is planning on announcing that they will be doing about $550 mil worth of renovations on Notre Dame stadium. Unknown why and unknown what exactly they will be changing/upgrading.
He also mentioned that $490 mil of the money that will be used is donor money for the renovations.
Gotta keep up with the U of Is of the world.I would assume it would involve a significant upgrade to the video board. The Pats added this monster a few years back as part of a $250M renovation of Gillette Stadium:

Ditch the bleachers and put some real seats in.

Sounds like your living room TV would be perfectI only care about my own comfort. I don’t enjoy rubbing knees with strangers.
