so are we getting any transfers in or not i really think freeman wouldn’t be doing a good job if we didn’t get any transfers especially on the defensive tackles room where it seems we are very thin literally and depth wise i just think we need a couple big time run stoppers and i just not sure theres any body on the current roster we could cross train at dt to fill that hole right now

I think we end up with Canion.. dude is very religious & academically serious in business admin.

ND is a perfect fit..

People don’t think it be like that but sometimes it do

That didn’t help him come here the first time around.

That is not the 08 that I know. There’s an OL player, long snapper or kicker out there that we could move to DT. I feel that in my soul.

I have no inside info, but unless ND is communicating with Canion on the down-low, and nothing has materialized by now, he isn't coming to ND, but this is all conjecture.

Yea, I don't think anyone really knows the staff's portal board. It was obvious that they had been getting most portal info from agents and not from the staff. This is also why they have been very "idfk what's going" about the visits and timing of visits. They want the visits to happen so they can actually get an idea of who is on campus and who the staff might be putting priority in.

If we didn't land a wr at all I would be totally fine. We obviously aren't going to over pay for a non position of need and rightfully so.

You have to love how devious and frugal ND's Portal recruiting is. They literally mislead the beat, or swear them to secrecy out an abundance of caution that those players will be bid up by other schools if they know ND is interested.

They try to keep their visitors and negotiations as quiet as possible lol.

Looks like the last WR to get drafted after having Cal be their last college destination was in 2017.

Good luck Mr. Strong.
If ND's serious about throwing some money around for a boundary, they can probably do better than Strong anyways. It's just a matter of buying the right guy away frome somebody.

Why is this continuing to be said? The team is on the cusp of a national championship. Pay everyone who can help the team. Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, Miami aren't concerned about budgets -- they want to win.

Frankly none of these WRs are good enough. Malachi Fields is better than all of these portal guys and even he was just fine. Our WR recruiting hasn't been good enough for a while. Who is our last receiver that would have sniffed the field at OSU/Alabama/USC?

From what I remember he wanted to stay close to home.. but he could be over that & theres prob a pretty good bag here for him.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see the return.

Only known target left at DT is Kevin Gilliam.

Singer has said that there are a few other visits that are not being reported.

Maybe Alex VanSumeren.

Should we love it? After what happened this year, is now the time to be cheap? Is that how OSU reacted after 2023-24?

So, semi off topic, is bed wetting officially sanctioned at this point?

Long time listener, first time portal bedwetter… at what point does our current roster question their own roster and slide out the back door into the portal?

I hate to bring this info forward, but someone has to…

Singer saying Ibirogba didn’t make it to campus today. Likely heading to Texas Tech.
I think people have to start accepting the reality that when schools offer big money to these recruits, ND takes the "moneyball" approach... We can get 80-85% out of player B as we could out of player A, but pay 50-60% of the price? Let's do that.

Unless it's a player that the staff thinks will make an enormous difference because he's substantially better than the alternatives, they're simply not going to pay the premium.

It's the ND way.
