with him gone you can now put Charles when back next to Lambert and what a hell of a right side to run behind with both being over 330 pounds
Very curious what they do at OL next year. In other threads, we have discussed this. I see like 7-8 legit starters if Billy comes back. Knapp, Billy, Craig, Otting (not elite but can start), Lambert, Jagusah, Black (I am buying the second year jump), and Sully. They apparently love Augstine. Is Craig a lock to start at Center...could Knapp play there? I am excited to see how it develops.

Right. Lots of options

Lambert, Black, Augustine or Knapp at Tackle

Schrauth, Jagusah, Sully at Guard

Craig, Otting or Knapp at Center

Good top 9

Best of luck, great human.

IMO he probably has bigger life plans and wants to see if he can get a little time in the nfl. I have a hard time seeing him play in the nfl, but I expect him to do big things in life.

Driskell is saying that Wagner was getting offers from $1.2 - $1.5 million from other schools.

For reference, Myles Hinton for Michigan signed a 4 year 1.1 AAV after being a 6th round pick last year.

I don’t think Wagner is going to improve his stock with another year so from a purely monetary standpoint $1.5 is not more attractive than the NFL.

If he gets drafted

I think it’s right move for him either way. To me he clearly is struggling physically keeping on this weight, and he by all accounts is going to have a long career outside of football

Yep. He's always been a little skinny (for a Notre Dame offensive lineman, not a normal human). That's unlikely to change. Meanwhile he's got to see the talent coming up behind him.
I assume he has his degree and always respect the guys who shoot their shot at the league and then are ready to move on with life.

Honestly he looks more mobile at LT based on those clips, small sample size, he likely will be developed as a swing tackle at the next level though.

Still can't get over how small he looks. He's going to battle the combine demons all the way thru the draft process

Boy, could you imagine this team with him, Billy, and Eli coming back to the offense?

Who's the early favorite to start at TE?

Cooper Flanagan will probably be the starter if he’s healthy. He’ll be 18 months removed from the achilles tear by the time fall camp starts.

Thanks. Any idea of his comp? What kind of style TE is he? Great blocking TE like Trumble? More of a WR like Eifert? Brock Wright type? Kyle Rudolph? Man, have we had a ton of great tight ends!

I’ll let someone smarter than me weigh in on a comp, but I think he’s more of an attached, old-school tight end. Great, physical run blocker, with some upside as a pass catcher. Probably not going downfield as much as we saw Eli do this past season.

Hopefully he gets a lot of work in the redzone (He has 5 career catches and 3 of them were touchdowns).
