I would also add, they might think he's leaving, but their actions are going to ensure he does. Lane is petty enough to let this be the final factor and just tweet "later Gator" to announce he's going to UF.

It's going to happen sooner or later. In the grand scheme of things it won't matter much when it happens.

IDK about PSU, specifically, but Godfrey floated that DeBoer might be inclined to leave Bama if Riley pussed out to Waco and USC opened up.

Waco as in Baylor? I had seen TT if they move on from Maguire, but not Baylor.

It's just hard for me to imagine Lincoln Riley, who coached OU and now USC, going to Baylor. Baylor is about the 5th best program in the state of Texas. Unless he just completely hates USC, even then I don't think he would struggle to find better opportunities.

Yeah I don't know what to make of any of it. There is a contingent of UF fans that want him if Lane falls through but that would be a terrible hire. Lincoln is basically Temu Lane Kiffin with somehow even worse defenses.
