Ahh, I'd forgotten that you & I used to be almost neighbors. I lived in Custer for over a decade until 2022. I'm now in Montana. Deadwood's a neat little town. My wife & I used to go up there for weekend getaways occasionally.
I’ve got family in Custer so we spend time there as well. Where in Montana? I went to MSU for a year.

I was just downtown. I would like to dispute this.
I was just downtown today too. I had a meeting at the SB chocolate factory and then another at the chicory cafe… many depressing things about SB but the biggest is the abandoned College Hall of Fame. Fucking Jerry Jones!! Chickory Cafe is decent.

Chicory is good but The Early Bird Eatery is better. Not my type of crowd but the food was fantastic.

I hate to say this, but WTF??? I've been to South Bend a few times. It's Tuscaloosa with snow and without the restaurants. Neither are top anything cities to live in.

GR is a great city. Training for the marathon there in Oct.

Oh nice!!! Good luck. I have a lot of respect for runners/marathoners. That's some hard work. If you see me running I'm either being chased by the police or I'm running to the toilet.

You get on the podium I will buy you a beer from "beer city USA" 🤣

Love me some GR. My hometown is 45 mins east off of 96. We are smack dab in the middle of Lansing and GR, but consider ourselves, Greater Lansing.

Was in Peru on Saturday visiting her family. We ate at a pub called Dillinger’s. Was pretty good food for Peru if you’re ever in town.
Love Dillinger’s. Next time you’re in town you need to go to East End for ice cream and shakes. It’s a P-Town institution.

My man, I'm shooting for 4 hours as a goal, so I won't be anywhere near the podium. Just want to run this first one (maybe only?) and say I did it. Ran the Detroit Free Press 1/2 Marathon a few years ago and didn't think I'd get the itch to double the effort but here I am.

You're running it at least. That's a lot further than I will get. lol

My 14-year-old daughter and I went to Alabama recently to visit family and meet my new granddaughter who was born while we were there. I drove my daughter around town to show her where I'd gone to school, had my first job, my old hangouts, and etc. One of the places I showed her was an old Dairy Queen that was popular when I was a kid. By the early '90s it had outgrown its building, so the owner built a new, much larger one nearby and relocated, then sold the old building to a Mexican family. Their restaurant did so well that after a few years they opened a second larger one on the other side of town. Inevitably though, the first one soon gained a nickname. Even the owners often welcome regulars with "Welcome to El Dairy Queeno!"
