This can only mean that MFMF needs to keep going to war with opposing fanbases when he brings the team out… starting with Miami (FL)*

* Editor’s Note: in this house, “Miami” refers to Miami of Ohio, as they are the only institution deserving of the proper respect. Miami of Florida will always be referred to as “Miami (FL)” because fuck them

Can confirm that screen is in the game.

Didn’t have much time but played one of road to CFB playoff. ND’s playbook base is all the same, but the plays are SO much better. A ton of cool WR motions and new screen looks. Will report back more tomorrow

Fake players in the game for now which is a bummer.

Let me know if Elite Recruiter is still the best tree. In a buddy's league I was stealing recruits from Alabama as Virginia, ended up with the #1 class each season, think I pissed a few of them off

So do screens actually work now? Or will my HB bumble fuck around leading to an incomplete pass or a sack on over 50% of screen attempts?

Yeah some playbooks are very new in that they added motion to existing plays. They also got more teams “right” in that they are more specific. It’s funny with the running QBs there is gonna be a trialing aspect to QB turnover. NDs playbook is VERY heavy QB run. They added a ton of QB draw RPO stuff. They don’t even know CJ gonna win the Heisman with his arm yet

RB screens worked every so often, especially on a LB blitz, but WR screens never worked... ever

I hope they expand the playoff and conference customization options for next year. I want the ability to change everything if I want.

Apparently they aren’t which is silly

It’s funny how apparently some of yall had success with the read option bc it was a completely wasted play to me,… but some report issues with screens,… seriously? Both me and the cpu would both have tons of success on RB and WR screens

RB screens can be finicky depending on formation and game. WR screens I would say very much work, especially the RPO ones.

If y’all didn’t venture into the RPOs, it’s a pretty heavy part of ‘26 judging by the beta. I would almost theorize that plays you think dont work likely work better as RPOs since they have worked more on the code for them.

I really only used them for the bubble screens. Never had much success on the RPO Slants, the risk of an INT always seemed higher and when it was a success it was almost always tackled as soon as the WR caught it. Had many a RPO screen go for 30 yards

Wish we could create new conferences. Will probably have to stick with a grab bag PAC-12 for my online dynasty in the new game. An incredible feature would be exporting an online dynasty to the new game and let the league continue. My Rutgers dynasty is finally on top of my league and I was ready to go Saban mode

I wanted to make a dynasty where I replaced every P5 team with a different college from Ohio. Then I hit the limit. Why is there a limit??

Admittedly I barely touched Rpos last year,… just the pure read option and that sucked

I have about 36 dynasty seasons in, all offline. I use RPOs, but only when I've already decided to run the QB. There is no time to make a split second decision that works.

Read Option used to be so effective in the old game, like back in '14. If you got good at reading the CPU DE a mobile QB could absolutely destroy defenses. Some of the other Option plays were really effective too. I didn't notice the same in '25, sometimes you could get good gains but not nearly like before.

Ahh the good ole dynasty days! I wish they would just make the option effective. It doesn't have to be dominant like it was before when I ran it but at least fun to use!

I dunno, looks like some decent upgrades. Didn’t really touch on dynamic lighting either. They’ve got my purchase.

Yup. The other thing I remember in the old game is EA brought in a college lineman to help with their blocking logic and improve blocking. I thought it was noticeable in the game afterwards, I could see blocking principles in place as a former linemen myself, not just 1's and 0's smashing into each other all willy-nilly. I think they could do with an expert coming in again, some of the blocking in the most recent game is just bad...even if you mess with settings, alignments, and manually identifying the MLB. I'm not expecting to go for 20 yards every run, but my lineman should also not be 40 yards down the field in the endzone while safeties are laying out my back.

[EDIT] Ha, I'm talking about blocking improvements here, and they highlighted that in the video after I just watched it. We'll see...

Meh...Jeremiah Smith is great, but not a 98 as a Sophomore. He was 4 catches for 32 yards in the big game until he got mismatched with Gray on the big play.
He had 1300 yards and 16 touchdowns as a freshman. He's also big and fast. I dont know what his overall should be necessarily but he should probably be among the best receivers in the game.

He also might not have had a huge day against Notre Dame because he didn't have to. Everyone was getting open.
