It was right after he committed. He would still announce offers and named some schools he might want to visit.

It died pretty quickly

Here on Page 6 - Page 10. This might have been one of the Loy/ND spats.
This was also right when Deuce was killing it....

Was gonna back-channel this so as not to bump this thread unnecessarily, but now that it's already been bumped today I feel less bad. Our boy's name is misspelled (Grubs with just one "b") on the Front Page under the 2026 recruiting class. Hoping a mod with the power can make the change and soothe my OCD lol

Fair to say that the Grubbs family is aware of the On3 rating lol.

In soccer, boys were going to a coach to help improve their athleticism and touch with the soccer ball...made a big difference compared to their peers.

It can be really helpful in some sports/disciplines (hitting coaches with some coaching/playing pedigree for example, are usually worth the money for kids in youth baseball), but most of the people who could actually "coach up" a four/five star HS QB are already making real money doing it for a school or professional organization.

Then again I may just be scarred because every ND QB to ever use one of these broomstick gurus ends up a mess.

It’s almost like when a kid is an elite QB with an elite arm, you shouldn’t try to re-train their brain/muscle memory and force them to suddenly stop and think in the middle of doing the thing that made them elite in the first place.

I’m pretty involved in the AAU basketball scene. I’ve been a coach, director, assignor, and official. The “bad” trainers outnumber the good at least 3:1. However, if you can find a trainer with the right background and with a proven track record of developing players it can take your athlete’s game to the next level. The problem is “trainers” and “programs” (especially in basketball) prey on those who often don’t have the money or ability to find and pay for someone legit. So they settle for the guy that works out of the local church gym who played two years of HS basketball and now promises that for only a rack he can get your kid “looks” only to have their team get outclassed by legit trainers and programs at every tournament they hit.

Off my soapbox now. TL;DR: there’s some really good player developers out there…but you get what you pay for. Most training/youth sports is just a money grab.

This can be 100% true. Previous guys statement was definitely and opinion, not factual.

Didn't know where to put this article but its pretty interesting. Goes in depth on each QB and at the end pretty much says Hebert and Grubbs aren't it.

Mike Frank has been saying for the last few months that the QB in the 2027 class needs to be a stud.

You guys saying Herbert and Grubbs aren’t it are clowns. Grubbs has been constantly named as one of the most impressive on the 7-7 circuit and at camps. Have you ever heard of development chances are Carr is gonna be QB for the next 3 years.

Wait, I'm confused, this is uncharacteristically positive for you. Are you smoking something? Did you see he was just a 4 star?
