This offensive line has the chance to be an elite unit over the next few years when you see the size of Jagusah, Black, Wagner, Absher.
I think we will be a top 5 team next year but I think the team 2 years from now will be the best one ND has had in 30 years it all depends on who stays and who goes obviously I expect Love gone after next year but our RB room is deep.

Is the starting o-line tomorrow the projected starting o-line at the beginning of the season?

Not used much at all tonight, Hope it doesn't get him thinking
I'm wondering if he maybe played up his health a bit. 4 carries doesn't cut it, even if you're playing from behind. There were only 7 total carries by backs tonight. If he was healthy we should have gotten him involved in the passing game instead. Isn't that why he crosstrained at Slot? So we could get him the ball in space? I think maybe he was good enough to play, but not healthy enough to carry a huge load.

Not really sure how you can criticize his usage when OSU went up in a blur and ND needed to start passing the ball. They even passed it successfully. Not a lot of bites at the apple.

Next season the OL will have all returned, be in proper positions, and be healthy. Love *should* feast in 2025.

Best RB room in the country (once again) getting a handful of carries, and your QB running damn near 20 times against O$U is not winning Football. No way around it

The QB run was out most successful play call all game.

Price had a good run to the left but Love was way too slow to get outside. And part of that is we didn’t make OSU’s defense respect us. Their safeties were with in 10 yards of the line of scrimmage most plays.

We needed to launch a competitive ball or two early to get them think and we didn’t.

A lot of reasons we didn’t win this game and some to due with injuries, some coaching decisions and some player execution.

Said this last night but it was the first game all year where it felt like we were outcoached. Not big-picture - the guys showed up to play - but schematically. Not finding ways to get the ball into Love's hands more was one of those. We needed a big play and he's our best big-play-maker. Even if we're playing from behind, would trying a swing pass have killed us?

All indications from coaching staff and the beat are that Love was much more hurt than was being let on. He tried to go, got rocked in an early carry which reaggrevated the knee, and was very limited afterwards.

that makes sense. he wasn't in much and when he was he seemed mainly to be a decoy.

The problem all season was the running back rotation. It was stupid if I am being honest.
Strong disagree. In modern college football, with a 16 game season, you need a rotation just to keep the guys healthy.

Plus, it has to help in recruiting when you can show a player and their parents that you will not only get the player ready for the NFL, but won't shorten their career by overusing them in college.

Now you might see Love get more usage compared to the other backs next year because we probably do want to show him off more for scouts and the Heisman, but we probably need even more of a rotation because whoever our QB is will almost definitely not run it as much as Leonard.

I thought on that first drive he came out and was fiddling with that brace. I wonder if he tweaked something.

I think we are in the same page, I just didn’t explain my reason enough.

But giving each back a quarter is stupid. I am good alternating the backs, that helps their individual strengths. We need to alternate them in the same drives and not do 2 drives Love than 2 drives Price.

I am 100% on board with 2 backs. You need it for their health and their stamina plus the different runs styles.

That was my feeling. If Love was 95% like they were saying we should have been scheming ways to get him the ball in the flat or in space, but we weren't even doing that.

It's going to come out that he was playing through an MCL or PCL sprain and it's amazing he was able to do some of the stuff he did.
