Basically a bunch of coaches who've played us saying things like;
“I don’t think people realize how good of a team Notre Dame is,” said one defensive backs coach who faced the Irish in the Playoff. “I didn’t realize it till we played them. They’re f—— really good."
and...
"When you watch them warm up, they are not that impressive physically, but man, they’re tough and they’re gritty,”

with much detailed analysis of how even underappreciated units like our OL and WRs are disciplined and well-coached, how hard Riley Leonard is to defend, and of course Jeremiyah Love. Definitely got hard over my morning coffee.

I'll go ahead and second Beau's support. I lurk more than post on this site, but you've absolutely been a board staple in my ~15 years here. History is a big part of what makes not just Notre Dame, but this entire sport special, and I love hearing these kind of anecdotes. Post on, OMM!

Nobody gave tOSU a chance against that loaded Miami team. They were gritty and midwestern. Ohio State is now playing the role of The U and Notre Dame is the gritty underdog that runs the ball and plays defense.

I don't recall Krenzel being able to run a lick, though.
