Public metrics are sometimes off. Like SP+ will be significantly off market sometimes. If Notre dame was fully healthy I think they would be getting more than 3 but probably less than 7. Im not convinced injuries are making up 5 points. A great tackle is moving the line by 1 at the most
The OL injuries and perceived inability to pass protect + run the ball how we did in the regular season I think are also a large factor. Agree injuries are not moving it five points, even in "futures" pre injury there was a 1-2 point bump for Ohio State versus underlying metrics (probably because of style clash and where strengths align). Accounting for injuries, the Texas early line was 2.5 points and OSU 9.5. OSU entered the game against Texas as a ~6 point favorite after some early lines opened as low as Ohio State being a 1.5 favorite... crazy one sided betting and market moved the line a full 4-5 points. Very rare to see something like that.

Public perception of OSU is a juggernaut doesn't align with how they played during the regular season but *does* align with their talent level and recent performance. This is why I think there is such a major disconnect from SP+, etc.

After his work against PSU, I expect Jagusah to step in for Knapp. He did exceptionally well.

ND built its “Luck of the Irish” reputation by winning big games as an underdog. I hope the spread stays big. Extra incentive for our lads and might make the Suckeyes over confident

New member. Joined specifically to make this post. Willing to prove my bona fides in more detail, but will start with this - baptized at St. Thomas Aquinas in Indianapolis, first communion at Queen of the Holy Rosary in Overland Park, Kansas, confirmed at All Saints in Dallas with no trauma to show for it (IYKYK). Texas grad. Bought two MNC tickets in Section 123 a few weeks ago anticipating that prices would only go up. They were listed at $1,677 each. After I hit check out, Stub Hub added their fees at a level that shocks the conscience. I ended up paying $4,994 for the set (approx $2,500 a piece).

I am not going, as my interest was in seeing my beloved Longhorns play for the title. I also have no interest in having any Buckeye sit in my seats. I will sell these two tickets for what I put into them - $4,994 for both. Be aware that any ticket you see listed on Stub Hub for $1,678 or more will end up costing you more than these tickets.

Message me if interested. However, I have to work this afternoon to make up for not working on Friday (life of an M&A lawyer), and will not check messages for a few hours.

I'm not interested in negotiating - the price is the price. If you want them and will pay me what I put into them - $4,994 gets you two seats - you will be the first one I reply to.

Also in the market for tickets - prices are so high I expect to be forced to play favorites within my family and hope for some last minute price drops to get more Irish in the door. You are doing a community service - I promise to wear exactly the same gear as I did for the Sugar and Orange.

If OSU dominates again tonight I might have some reservations about paying up for the opportunity and opt to sweat it out at home.
See my post on page 12.

Can't imagine they wont try Jagusah. Sawyer vs Baker is an overwhelming loss.

Put a backpack on Baker. Problem solved.

Sawyer was “so enraged and ready to fight the whole Michigan team,” but this guy was still able to hold him back.

Truly amazing:

More useless information that doesn’t matter, leading up to next Monday:

Over the last 25 years, ND has played in 21 bowl games.

They wore blue in 13 of those games, white in 8 of them.

Record in blue 5-8

Record in white 5-3

Gimme dem white jerseys again

Apparently this is getting traction with OSU circles. Malik is so stupid.

It's not the fault of the current players/staff when some former player, coach, ND fan or whomever decides to weigh in and say something. Nevertheless, it would be helpful if former players, coaches, etc., would just refrain from speaking or tweeting or whatever. The Holtz thing isn't why ND lost in 2023, and it wasn't actually a big deal, but it obviously mattered to OSU.

And Howard is much better than Malik was, ftr.

It's like that everywhere right now. The Irish are winning and people can't stand it that are haters. Dave Portnoy is going nuts on Twitter, FB & TikTok using all his accounts calling Irish fans crybabies, idiots, homers, etc.....

I just brush it off because it happens to every fan base. The Irish fan base is so large - the idiocrasy from non-fans looms larger.

Rewatched the Penn St game last night.

Based on the o lines second half performance on such short notice against what is a really good Penn St defense I fell pretty good about what ND will be able to do in the run game and in pass pro against Ohio State with some time to prepare.

Leonard’s pocket presence and bad throwing decisions are more concerning in my opinion.

Right, people hate any team that wins. People hate ND, OSU, Alabama, the Patriots, Yankees, etc., etc. But what some random ND fan says doesn't matter as much and won't get as much attention as a former ND QB or coach. Or a famous ND fan.

I don’t think that happens. Sounds like they are going w/ Baker at LT & Jagusah at RG if Rocco can’t go. Spindler is trying to play on pure grit now b/c his ankle is pretty bad according to O’Malley

By going from Knapp and Spindler to Baker and Jagusah, they gain 6 inches and 34 pounds to the OL. I would expect the OL to stay as is and lean into what those may due best, which will be some of the power and gap schemes that we saw. It also fits Love’s lack of cut ability. Just run straight.

The good thing for Baker is Sawyer and JTT are both very good DEs as well but not with speed like PSU had. More with power. JTT might be a tad slowed down. And you still have Leonard

Which worked great in the 2nd half.

Recipe for success offensively will not change. Imperative to stay in front of the chains to give manageable down and distance.

Every single drive needs at least 2 first downs and end in either a punt or a kick

So Downs and Sawyer are dudes. What terrified me is how dominant their defense is at 3rd/4th and short. A literal brick wall. Anyways Irish by a Million
