From Here to Eternity. Great movie with a great cast. Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra, Deborah Kerr, Earnest Borgnine, Jack Warden, Montgomery Cliff, and Donna Reed.

I finally got around to watching Conclave since it's on Peacock.
Very good.
Well acted and the cinematography is beautful.

"Hickey and Boggs" on Prime. It's one of those new wave private eye movies that everyone in Hollywood seemed to be making in the 70s. Everything is gritty and ultra-cynical. This one works, even though the set up of the two main characters being played by Bill Cosby & Robert Culp, who starred together in "I Spy" is odd. But Cosby & Culp work as weary burnouts and have great chemistry. It is a very of its time movie but I mean that in a good way. It's cool to see these kinds of low key, slice-of-life movies from the past. Now I will shake my fist at those lousy kids on my lawn and do a middle-aged man rant about how "Hollywood doesn't make them like this anymore."

Carry On on Netflix. Total rip off from Die Hard but I’m okay with it. Not an Oscar nominee but I don’t regret watching it.

Watched the new joker movie the other night, no idea who the target audience was for because it sure wasn’t for people who liked the first movie. 3/10

Anyone who was in college at that time knew exactly which party they were at when they heard Levels for the first time

"Prey." It's a direct to Hulu sequel to "Predator" and is pretty damn good. I'd say it's probably the best follow-up to the original, which is one of my favorite movies. The set-up is a Predator in the 1719 mid-west being tracked & hunted by a young Comanche woman. It leans more on suspense & tension rather then balls out action. The design of this version of the Predator is inspired as well (I'll save the details for those who haven't seen it).

I always thought the episodic approach to the franchise was the way to go for sequels, which is where the better sequels work and the movies that try for a more conventional approach (AVP, The Predator, which was obviously lined up for a series featuring the same characters before bombing hard) failed. This IP is ripe for a high production value streaming series, where each episode features a Predator in a different time & place squaring off against a new set of characters each week. The creative possibilities are limitless: Predator in the Wild West, in Vietnam, during the Civil War, in WW2, the Battle of Troy. I'd be all for it.

I haven’t seen it yet but was planning on it…….what didn’t you like about it? I also thought the first one was pretty good.

Went and saw Mufasa and Sonic 3 yesterday with my kids. I never thought I would say a Sonic the Hedgehog would be better than a Lion King movie, but here we are. Theater also had beer.

Gladiator 2 was so underwhelming I didn’t even think Denzel was that interesting in it and I had no idea what kind of acting Connie Neilsen was trying to do her face is paralyzed by Botox

They basically take everything that was interesting about the first one and throw it out the window. Ohh and the fact that’s it’s a legitimate musical lol I appreciated them trying something different but it just didn’t work at all in my opinion

Thank you-horrible. I have nothing good to say about this. Watched with my kids and had to buy it On Demand. Have not watched a second of it since.

I didn’t realize it was set up as a musical……I definitely won’t be watching it then 🤣

All the sites (and ticket sales) said Costner’s “Horizon Part 1” was a flop…but I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Part 2.
Watched Part 1. I enjoyed it. I can see why it cost so much. The locations and creating everything to give it an authentic look. I thought is was a little choppy on how it transitioned from one scene to another, but I'll definitely watch Part 2.

Juror No. 2. I'd love to say it's my legal education that made me hate this courtroom drama, but I think I'd consider it incredibly stupid regardless. Terrible waste of time.

We watched it at theater and enjoyed it. My only complaint was it ended with a lot to wonder but then realized it was a series. Was slow at times but I’m sure the action will pick up part 2.

When is the second part supposed to release, btw?

I actually thought it was OK, maybe I just had low expectations 😊
