It’s wild when we have guys like this that fly under the radar and then as soon as they step foot on campus people are like “uhhh yeah this dude can play.”

Like how is it so obvious once you have them in practice who can ball but so hard to project in recruiting?

It looks like Drunk hasn't been on for a whole year. That is unless Drunk was one of Koon's aliases.

I don't think so, got different troll vibes from those two.

Drunk had this really, really strange obsession with Driskell. Sounded like he got banned from the IB board, and he had a vendetta against him ever since. There was a rumor that Driskell posted on here once upon a time, I believe in an effort to squash his "premium info" from getting leaked, and Drunk was literally trying to figure out who he was.

Say what you want about Koon, but that wasn't part of his schtick haha

Drunk was NDinNaples on IB and he was banned from there. I think he was banned for being annoying and not for leaking info though
I caught the parallel and said on here that I knew he was NDinNaples and he DMd me to say he knew I was Driskell and that is how the rumor started that Driskell was on these boards
He DM'd me as well, did the exact same thing. We had our share of dustups.

And you're correct, he was banned for being annoying, but the rumor was DRISKELL was on IE trying to snuff out posters leaking insider info from his bullshit pod. Not sure if that was ture or not, but Drunk was on a mission to discover who was Driskell lol.

Don't underestimate the challenge it is mentally to play really good consistently at this level, especially at a young age.

I think understanding what someone has upstairs is the most challenging with recruiting. I also believe most of your top recruits that don't pan out are due to mental reasons vs physical (not putting in the work, the focus, wanting something too quick, focus on money vs development, etc etc).

Moore was a solid texas recruit that didn't overly flash on film, but just played really well. He's doing the same thing now, just playing really well but not doing anything flashy. He probably has such a good head on his shoulders and knowledge of the game that's hard to pick up in recruiting. Mickey to me is the opposite (for a few reasons, not just his mom passing). From day 1 you could see his physical ability, but from day 1 he constantly made big mental mistakes. He never cleaned up his mistakes he made at ohio state his first game as a frosh, and I can only assume that's due to an inability to be mentally focused in practice and games at all times. It's tough.

On the flip side, 90% of ND fans that really look at film thought Watts was a safety even before he stepped on campus, and it took the coaches what 2 years to commit to that, now he's probably the most productive safety in ND's history.

I've watched it so many times and yet every time I still cringe slightly and think to myself, "don't accidentally run Gray over!"

As a Football Guy, I firmly believe that when your teammate hits a breakaway, you immediately tap into a well of endurance and speed that was not previously available due to standard physical limitations.

Much like when a mother gains superhuman strength or a father gains beyond-cat-like reflexes when their child is in danger, science says that the adrenaline, the momentum, the good vibes, and the strong desire to catch up to your boys and maybe spring a key block for the score allows someone to do things they previously couldn’t.

It’s real life super powers, but for the bros.
