ISD saying they've heard "very few - if any - positives" about his visit last weekend. Seems like ND is moving on.

Definitely not a "we aren't going to get this kid so we're dropping him to save face" type of situation. ND very much wants him to be a part of the class, but the interest isn't reciprocated and so the staff is directing its resources elsewhere.

Seems to be the final nail in the coffin.

Who was the last IMG kid we recruited who signed with and succeeded at Notre Dame?
So, Tony Jones, Robert Hainsey, Houston Griffith (Looks like Banks went to his hometown public high school in California). Point being, no one in the NIL/free-transfer era, despite various flirtations.
I know IMG produces big-time recruits but honestly it's becoming a bit of a red flag.

I tend to agree. IMG, just by the nature of what it is, is going to tend to attract the type of kids that ND has always struggled with or tends to shy away from. The ones in the other different isle. And, I'm okay with that. Especially if IMG really has a "handler".

I wonder if this came down to room at LB and he is wanting guaranteed playing time. I think ND could come through with the NIL for him.

I hope he enjoys playing 12 game seasons at Michigan.

It comes down to up front money: with NIL caps coming this summer. ND isn’t interested in a bidding war for a recruit at their deepest position, especially with no transfer restrictions.

Wiltfong gives Colorado the edge after his visit there this past weekend

I’m a little surprised because I doubt Colorado is offering the biggest bag which is what this recruitment is largely driven by, but he’d probably start day 1 there I’d think whereas no shot at ND and unlikely at Michigan

I support this decision.

USC took all the fun out of the Juju de-commitment.

Oh well... F Michigan

He will start day 1 because Prime and everyone else won’t be there.

Sounds like a good place for him. He seems like an attention whore and his coach (if still there) will buy into it.

Was there more news on NOB? All I’ve seen so far is a kid going through his visits that seems like he isn’t going to be an ND fit for whatever reason. Apologies if I missed something scandalous that merits moving toward name-calling.

Totally agree with you in Deion though. The ends don’t justify the means of how he turned over the roster at CU, among other sins.

Is Michigan's class better than ours?
We'll see once we're through signing day. They're in on some good prospets that I would've liked to see ND go after like Bradley Gompers, Tobi Haastrup, Travis Moten, Michael Carroll, and Quante Gillians. Ty Haywood as well. A bunch of late risers with serious athleticism and production there. We didn't offer any of those guys.

Their current class isn't runaway better than ours though. Underwood and Marsh being the difference. If we had Deuce and a clear #1 receiver in our current class I'd take ours over theirs even with them landing Owusu Boateng.

Good grief. Now Michigan is out recruiting us. This is pretty bad.

Ohio State, Alabama and Georgiia are one thing. But Michigan leap frogging us is awful.

How many times has UM signed a better class than MF? Once, and it's first time will be 2025.

I will take MF every day and twice on Saturday, Moore needs to have his class bought for him AFTER winning the NC. You know how 2023 lost Keeley/Bowen/Moore, well it still finished with a higher margin in terms of star talent than UM will have over ND in 2025, and that's after UM made the playoffs and ND went 9-4.

All this means is that UM has reached it's recruiting ceiling and had to do so with very public NIL payments.

Now wait for the reply from Jaded. I’m detecting a pattern that is reminiscent of some recently banned posters. Starting an argument in multiple threads simultaneously. Becoming high volume poster. @IrishLion should check the IP. May be familiar.

The way things are nowadays the kids that are chasing these bags are going to end up not even playing for these programs they're signing with anyway

For fucks sake they aren’t “out recruiting” any one. What they are doing is outbidding everyone. Texas A&M didn’t recently and how did that work out?
Cool, we just gotta hope all the highly rated recruits don't work out for them

(Now do Georgia, Texas, Oregon, OSU, etc).
Checks notes…yep your username checks out. 3 of those reside in traditional recruiting hotbeds and have won titles in recent memory. Oregon is trendy, has uncle Phil’s money and once he croaks they will become irrelevant again.

Just imagine if ND didn’t make the playoffs or finished with Michigan’s record. The bitching and moaning would be even more unbearable. Some of these posts are completely unhinged for a team that just rattled off 10 straight victories with the largest point differential in college football and has a legit shot to win it all. All of us want ND to have better recruiting and national championships, but most of us take a measured sane approach to it. The sky isn’t falling with a 12-14 ranked class especially when none of us know what the portal will look like for 2025.
