This staff does suck at recruiting…….3 (probably 2) WRs committed for 2025 and only a couple months until signing day. It’s time to throw in the towel as I’m sure the staff will be doing the same. There is no hope.
Insert the tran$fer portal where hopefully we continue to hit more often than not

We should probably just cancel the 2026, 2027 and 2028 seasons and save ourselves the embarrassment.

I agree with that but he has never put up stats. From a national perspective though getting a top 100 receiver might go a long way

Yeah our freshman and sophomore classes that are some of our best performers won’t get any better!

Didn’t Mike Brown have 3 of our top WR’s recruits give silent verbals? Or at least two they then saw or got wind that our QB was looking around and none of them ended up coming here can’t blame coaches on that

We can't blame them?

It's a kid making a decision and you think it's the coaches that didn't get it done... sometimes you lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.... not on the coach here

You are right but the overall class is.

Brown has turned out to be pretty average as a WR coach so far. Neither recruiting well or developing well. It’s still early days. Give him until end of 25.

I'm not a recruiting doomer, but I'm curious, after how many whiffs do you start blaming the coaches? What would you consider an acceptable hit rate for say, Top 150 prospects?

It's just as hollow to chalk it up to circumstances every time there's a recruiting miss as it is to blame the coaches IMO

There are freshman and sophomores balling out all over the field every saturday. This comment is stupid and thats being kind.

The staff is missing out on plan F and G wide receiver recruits. There is one freshmen and/or sophomore that is balling out on the offensive side of the ball. It’s not as stupid as you think.

The offense is the reason why this team isn’t undefeated. Their recruiting efforts/results make it seem like they’ll continue to struggle.

May want to edit this again to “skill players” because believe it or not the young offensive linemen are playing pretty freaking well given how difficult it is for freshman/sophomore linemen to play. Yes they have their issues here and there but overall I would say they are doing well

I guess I just have a different definition of “balling out”. The young OL is doing fine, but not balling out.

Jaden Greathouse is second on the team in receptions, Aneyas Williams is averaging over 6 yards a carry while being behind two absolute studs, Cooper Flanagan was playing well prior to his injury, Freshmen and Sophomores on O-line, KK Smith starting to get more playing time, Faison is only a Sophomore...

Yes, we have young guys playing significant minutes. But, outside of Love, non of them are guys that worry opposing defenses. Knapp is playing LT out of necessity, not because he’s too talented to keep off the field. Greathouse is a weird one. I thought he was a lock to be a consistent weapon this season, but I was way wrong.

Liked Cooper's game a lot as it seemed like a really good fit for Denbrock's offense. Will be curious if they press for Mizell more now or if they have other guys they'll heat up

Hard to keep track of same complaints in different threads. This post can be copied into the Jaiden Ausberry thread where the goal posts were moved to… “well yeah we’ve got young studs on defense but not on O”.
