There's about 10 pages of the thread. 2,3 digs in each of the first couple. He could resist himself and started responding back to each person. It's pretty funny.

I wonder if this kid had the stones to contact MF and officially decommit before committing to Auburn?

I’ve been accused of Clickbait since day one of saying that he was looking around while others said he wasn’t going anywhere. Everybody else crapped on my reporting and said he was rock solid. I can deal wit the push back from fans. I can take it. I get ND fans frustrations. It’s warranted. The frustration over the situation and losing a commit is fair. Just not sure why I’m the one taking the brunt of it, when I was bringing honest reporting without fluff. But it’s all good. I appreciate all of you. Nothing will stop me from loving it around this place.

You know, I get that he’s a 17 year old kid and that… but what a dirtbag.
He knew that he was going to be CJ Carr's understudy for a couple of years and then Noah Grubbs comes in and surpasses his NIL lovin' a$$.

Wasn’t going to play here for a few years if ever. Go get your money kid. He better beef up as he will be broken into pieces in the SEC. How is Dante doing? Waiting for Gabriel to get hurt? This kid will get a nice chunk of dough then spend it predictably like a drunken sailor and not be able to pay his taxes and get into some trouble. He then never makes it at the next level and doesn’t even get his worthless Auburn degree.

Regret is a bitch. Take the money and run…….

You have to take a QB every cycle. Doesn't matter if you get a five star guy or a G5 level talent. You have to keep that cycle perpetuating itself. I think sooner or later the "just go to the portal" theory is going to be proven wrong more often than not. Culture and continuity matter. We're seeing it with Leonard at ND to some degree and DJU at FSU as examples. There will be exceptions and success stories, sure, but a culture and program like ND probably need to cultivate a QB from within from the ground up. Otherwise you have to have a slam dunk of a fit to come from the portal early on and not as a grad student.

These guys are going to have to compete just about anywhere they go, and if they don't, they're probably stepping into a bad program that will place a ton of pressure on their shoulders if they're QB1 out of the gate. Raiola is a good example.

The difficulty is that building a culture and developing the talent requires 1) high school evaluations, getting a commitment, and hitting on that eval...2) then keeping that kid in the program long enough to develop him into a contributor/starter. The portal and NIL payments are a direct enemy of this philosophy. Take Minchey* as an example. Ideally, you'd hit on that eval and he develops into the next starting QB. But he never gets a shot because you pay a portal guy to come in and then recruit a 5star behind him. Pitt calls in the offseason and drops a bag at Michey's feet and he transfers. The response is to fill the hole with a transfer, thus repeating the process. You can take a QB every recruiting cycle, but the ones who develop to be just good enough to start at other schools, but maybe be behind someone else at ND will be tempted to leave the second a bag man comes calling. Seems like a never ending cycle.

*Note: Minchey is just a hypothetical in this scenario. I have no info.

It sounds to me like he has no real confidence in his pro future as he is trying to capitalize financially right now. The thing that gets me is why Auburn?? They've been bad bad for years and they won't compete with UGA/Bama/Texas/Tenn/Ole Miss (Maybe even LSU, Oklahoma and A&M) regardless of top 5 classes over the next 5 years. Don't get me wrong, they may upset one of those mentioned teams here and there (but they will also lose to a South Carolina, Mizzu and UF here and there) But no way in hell will they all the sudden start competing for SEC championships or Natty's. Every Auburn fan I know hates Freeze, so he has to be on borrowed time. This whole thing sounds fishy, I get wanting to play in the SEC but he couldn't do better than Auburn?? You don't want to go to ND, great. But if you're suppose to be good good...what are you doing Deuce?? Maybe he is scared to compete, but like I said....it's all pretty fishy for a top guy like him to end up with that fat chick of the friend group.

This would be levels of self awareness non existent in virtually 99% of American teenagers today. I'd actually have to give him credit for this if it were actually true.

What's the over/under on how long Deuce sticks around before he bolts for a good team? 1 year? 2 years?

Depends on how long it takes Ole Miss to find a QB that is about to commit and tell Deuce it's his last chance. They just need to find a JuJu Bear

If feels like the ND beat has been on this for a while. So what keeps them from just spilling the beans if they know he's been a silent to another team? Is it because it may hurt their business of reporting on other prospects, or is it truly for the clicks?

Because it seems like the entire ND beat could have just ended the charade by saying "we don't think he's coming and ND is making other relationships with 2025 QBs in case he decommits"

That should have been the end of the story. Except we got, "don't feel good... wait, things feel good... ope not feeling good again... he's coming for Stanford!" Please, if he's been a silent for a month, they've known about it.

And I thought Loy was click baiting.

Bottom line is ND and analysts knew he wasn't "solid"
I hear you…. I’m just saying, I keeeeep seeing people say “ Freeman keeps getting “played”. That’s some bullshit. They wanna say he’s getting beat out for some 5stars, ok, that needs to be fixed…… but “played” no. They clearly have been planning for this.

Bottom line , we HAVE to get in the fight for these Elite kids. Blows when we lose em, but sitting out the fight (like others have insinuated we should) is NOT the way .

Just once I’d like to see freeman withdraw the offer when it’s abundantly clear someone is going to hang him out to dry. You want to be dumped or do the dumping? It’s not like you like this girl as she is flirting around and telling you she has to see a “Friend”. Of course I don’t know from experience but I can imagine how it might be. ND getting left at the altar is going to happen a lot with 5 star low character guys. Was it Kelly who coined the RKG for ND?
