What’s the deal with T’andre Waverly? Is he even being pursued by any big time schools anymore? Looks like he has taken no visits and has been a ghost on 247 / On3 articles until the recent ND interest (literally the last On3 article with his name in it is from January, about a visit to Oregon).

Seems like essentially every big school pulled their offer after his Junior tape? Pretty insane. Would love to see some senior tape if it’s out there.

Not sure if posted but apparently visiting this weekend

ND legacy mid 10 second 100m kid. Could be a huge pickup if it happens

His brother plays at Florida. They are gonna have a new with the initials LK. If that happens might be hard to convince him to leave the state.

Insiders release the secretive list of QBs we’ve been talking to over the last 2 months yet?
Honestly until the flip is a fait accompli, I'm okay with waiting. This is the BYE week so the staff is definitely out visiting QBs, but we've seen several times in the past where a potential flip backs out because their name was leaked.

Realistically, if Deuce didn’t commit when he did, Bear Bachmeier would be our QB right now. considering we could flip him relatively easily, it was worth the risk from that perspective. Although I do think Bear would have been a better recruiter (literally couldn’t be worse).

On the other hand, I don’t think Bear is that great, like a less talented Buchner. I don’t think he’d ever start at QB here. Fair to question the staffs strategy with targeting these two.

God no to bear. I heard the cal commit, and the guy committed to UNC. I think there is another one also.

Ty Hawkins
Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele
Kamario Taylor
Bryce Baker
Matt Zollers
these are the ones we are probably looking at. Hawkins is an interesting big time school but smaller. JKS is already being contacted by Oregon but we have supposedly been quietly reaching out to several QBs since July.

Call me a masochist for loving athletic QBs from deep in SEC country, but Kamario’s upside is so damn high. He’s exactly what you want sandwiched between less mobile guys in Carr and Grubb.

He’s definitely got some tools to work with but if you’ve watched interviews with Kamario (and knowing he goes to a public county HS in MS), I’m not too confident he‘d be a good fit at ND.

How about Dash Beierly? Altho' he seems to have a strong relationship w/ Jedd Fisch (decommitted from AZ to join Fisch at Washington) so probably isn't happening. Or revisit Blake Hebert committed to Clemson who we took a run at last year?

I am leaning toward Hawkins, Baker and Zollers here. Can't really make up my mind among the three just based on what I've seen.

I really like Hawkins and if he were six foot two it would be a slam dunk, but he's supposedly known to be a voracious competitor. Zollers entered the chat when I saw his highlights. I like the offer list, too. I like Baker, being a UNC commit makes him probably the easiest to flip even though he's from NC, but they could turn their season around.

I guess my concern with Hawkins is what is SMU offering him.

Saw he missed most of his junior year with an injury and tumbled in the rankings. Then transferred to the same boarding school where Augustine and Ethan Long go. Maybe we take a shot on him? Would be nice to steal one from Clemson.

Did anyone on the beat throw out some names to watch yet?

I've only seen from one from Kyle Kelly. I don't subscribe to II or 24/7, and Driskell hasn't put anything up on the IB boards this morning. These were just throw out names, nothing actually tied to the direction of where the staff is looking at now.

Kelly:
Bryce Baker, UNC commit
Jackson Kollock, Minnesota commit
Dash Beierly, Washington commit
David McComb, Kansas commit
Wyatt Becker, Utah commit
Leo Hanna, Michigan state commit

Small fish type of list, aside from Baker. Kelly also had another list of 10 names, that are now committed to other schools, that had varying levels of interest or contact with ND before committing elsewhere.
