Freeman isn't going anywhere, if anything they would bring in more support staff. The issue is more about preparation than anything, the talent has been upgraded and if anything Washington might get a job after this year so we would need a big time DL coach. A good move would be to bring in a guy to be an assistant to the head coach that's sole purpose is game week prep and organization. Someone who is a veteran head coach that is looking for a step down in the recruiting workload. I think people really need to understand that we need stability more than anything else, Denbrock's offense next year will be much better in year 2 and Gino will finally be able to be evaluated through Angelli, Carr, or Minchey.

We know he isn’t but we can still hope it happens. In year 3 Freeman should be losing to NIU and I would say his in game management isn’t good either. His time management has been bad.

We thought year 1 of Dembrocks offense would be better and so far that’s still in the air. And I don’t think we will have all 3 of those qbs. I stink think one transfers.

By that stage what would freeman’s job actually be. He would really just by the head of recruiting and PR.

For all we know they've tried, but they should really sell the easiest degrees that ND offers. I have no clue what majors those would be, though.
Why can't they just major in athletics? Still have to have the core

How about Bill O'brien? Seems to have immediately had a huge impact at BC. And the last coach we stole from them turned out ok...

Give it a little time? The last time we signed a contract based on the first five games of the season we wound up paying Charlie Weis a small fortune to coach for Kansas.

For sure, even if he continues to have a lot of success throughout the season, one season might not be enough. He was big ten coach of the year after the Paterno fiasco and if he can turn around BC, he is gonna be a stud coach again. Plus, he played for Brown, so one would assume he's pretty intelligent and he is still relatively young at 54. If Freeman struggles and is given one more year, but can't redeem himself, this could be an interesting option

Yep. The D might be a bit worse but the o should be better by more than the d is worse.
The schedule next year reminds me of the schedule this year. A lot of built in wins but ND wets the bed at least once per year.

The NIU loss is worse than Marshall since it happened in year 3 of the Freeman era.

For all of those wishing for Freeman to be gone, keep wishing.

Freeman is well liked at ND and if ND put up with 3 bad years with Weis; Freeman isn't going anywhere soon.

If I had a wish list it would be Cignetti from IU and if he can get used to this era of football with the transfer portal I'd also take Dabo.

Cignetti is too old IMO
Say what you want about his age, but he's been winning a lot lately, kind of like he's figured out a lot of things over his coaching years. And brilliant move that he got Kurtis Rourke to come there to play for his final year. I would take him over RL in a heart beat!

Beat Bama, #7 in recruiting and hasn't lost to NIU
LOL. The literal ace of spades in any discussion now.

Thanks for reminding me. It's been a whole five fucking minutes.

He's actually probably more of a long shot on this list that Kiffin is for ND, but whatever. I'll never stand in the way of a man and his dreams.

I think this could start to potentially put some pressure on Lane Kiffin. He's got UGA at home and road trips to Arkansas and Florida. If they beat UGA, winning out is possible.
