Who would be at the top of the board to replace Freeman?

Matt Rhule (Nebraska) - Doubtful with a 60m buyout
Lane Kiffin (Ole Miss) - 4 million buyout
Jeff Brohm? (Louisville) - 1 milling buyout... now were talking
Eliah Drinkwitz?(Mizzo) - 5 million buyout
Josh Heupel (Tenn) - 6 million buyout

No proven, big name Head Coach would leave their program for Notre Dame... Why would you when Notre Dame has academic requirements and boosters who do not pay the players. In this new era of semi-pro college football, I don't see us ever winning another title... Ohio State has a "20 million dollar roster" in Columbus and are up 35-0 on their MAC opponent. Money talks and Notre Dame is not about that life...

Honestly, Brohm would be a good hire.

Then who is better? MF? If you have a decent reason why Kiffin, Drink, or Heupel aren't better than what we have now then you haven't watched their games. They develop and win football games.

& How is that going for us? Wins aren't about X's and O's, they're about the Jimmy's and the Joe's.
You said “Money talks and Notre Dame is not about that life..” The fact that they have 2 of the highest paid assistants in college football shows you’re just making shit up.

Your commitment to ignorance is impressive. Notre Dame has not and will not pay players to come here. You can have the highest paid coordinators in the country, that doesn't mean shit. Players win the games.

& if Notre Dame was about that life, Andy Ludwig would have been our OC last season...

Are you implying that we are not getting these guys through NIL deals?

Because we just spent more money on the roster than we ever have before.

There is a major difference between NIL deals and simply paying recruits/players up front and/or offering their relatives incentives such as jobs or houses...

This is as aggresssive as ND has been with talent acquisition in the history of the university.

If he can’t win with that, it’s not the programs fault, it’s his.

That is my point, Notre Dame will never pay recruits/players in the portal to come here like most other big time universities do. Ask yourself, would you rather have 500k - 1 million up front along with NIL deals... or just NIL deals...

Every coach since holtz has lost mind numbing games like this and multiple times. Why would anyone think it would be any different with anyone else.
