I actually don't fault MF at all... This is exactly the way to play the game. Swing for the fences, but have a solid plan B in case it doesn't work out. Just make sure you don't come up empty.

I am not doubting you. But, if you look at 247 24 qb rankings, CJ is #6 and Walker White is the #8 QB, who committed to Auburn. White is the #41 player in last years class. I don't break down film, but is Deuce not going to have to compete with that guy? Or, has he been promised something, and then where does White wind up?

Or has White already gone somewhere else?

To me, it seems like CJ is just a more convenient excuse. Carr has been there ever since Deuce committed, so I am skeptical that it took him talking with Auburn to just now realize he’s really good and he’ll have to compete with him.

It's 1) wanting to stay home, 2) play in the SEC, and 3) being neg'd about ND's QB situation after DK gets on campus. All else being equal, ND's NIL package is better.
