He has been confirmed at Aubarn's campus. Look...let's face it, the little chicken school is a great school. They are actually in a conference too, unlike our dumbass program. And it's the SEC. The fact that he's already talked to sleezy Freezy means I don't want his Mississippi ass. I mean Notre damnit, I do want him, but shit it's not looking good.
Not a great first post, my dude

You must be a Freeze lover boy. I'm not going to sit here and be okay with Auburn spending 150k or whatever to lure Knight away. He's ours! He committed to us.
Shortest time on IE ever?

Cool.
Stating the obvious is going off the rails?
Cool.
Don’t read my posts, won’t bother me a bit.
Despite everything you say you've accomplished in your life, you still act like bitch around here. A fuckin drama queen and it's amusing.

He was there.
They paid him A LOT to visit.
ND knew about it.
Auburn is trying to drive a stake between ND & Knight like Ole Miss tried.
The problem this time is Knight actually bit & took the money to visit.
He told ND he isn’t decommitting, he’s still 100%, which is BS because he visited elsewhere.
So he is obviously lying to ND.
Signs are showing more and more he probably was never going to end up at ND.
Bitch shit

Not to be overly simplistic but he’s keeping his options open because 1) $$ 2) CJ Carr.

If CJ Carr ends up starting games here this year then he isn’t coming, period. If that isn’t the case then it’s going to come down to who has the best total package $$ being part of that.

Agreed. Admittedly, I am not as plugged in as you are, but I don't see a problem with a kid taking A LOT of money to visit somewhere as long as they told ND about it and also stated they are 100% locked in. I have seen nothing in Deuce to question his integrity and honesty.
It'll be nice if that turns out to be true and he just wanted a quick pay day, but combined with the poor WR recruiting, Taylor leaving and losing out on Meadows, I can't honestly say that I don't think it's a bad sign. As the leader of this class for so long, Deuce has to know that this is the absolute worst time to visit elsewhere perception wise, yet, he went anyway. At the very least, it shows his commitment to this class isn't quite as strong as it appeared to be, because this visit alone could hurt the coaching staff's chances of finding another WR commitment now that they opened the board back up

It’s never appeared to be as strong as some claim. What top 5 throwing qb can’t get top let alone even good wrs to play with him?

If another company tells you guys that they want to wine and dine you, and straight up give you money upfront to visit, everyone here is gonna say no to the free payday?

I mean I’m not saying this is nothing. But I’m also not saying this is something. How do we know he didn’t keep ND in the loop?
Take the money and run, meant take the money, visit, then run. As if back to South Bend.

Dude is going to sign, play and some will still think he’s flipping.

Yea I don't have a good feeling about this. Reporters always say follow recruit's behaviors, not necessarily their words. Well, this decision doesn't suggest he's really committed to building this class. Guess we'll have to wait and see where it goes

I’m still of the opinion Carr playing would be a good thing. One less year of eligibility for him to content with. Deuce can sit for two years and then be the guy.

But I know, instant gratification, start as a freshmen, yada yada

In the age of instant-transfer, it's almost foolish to go somewhere that you know you're gonna have to sit for two full years.

Guys probably need a promise that they'll get paid to sit and learn year one, and then will be the guy (or have every chance at winning the job) year two.

If a school is asking you to come in and wait behind a guy for two years to develop... you're better off picking an easier road to PT, then transferring to the big time after a year or two with your film to back it up.

The only exception I can see is if a QB finds the exact perfect development/system for himself, and is mature enough to wait it out while collecting NIL checks.

If Knight behaved like CJ Carr… receiver class would be better full stop. The congratulating Ivan Taylor on Michigan commitment was a bad look. His Tennessee adventure high school shenanigans was a cluster fuck. High upside. Seems like a sincere good person. But no denying he or those around him have had some clear missteps, there are red flags, and things would be better if he handled his business locked down style. I mean ffs he doesn’t have to flirt with any damn school to keep his options open if something happened. Every fucking program would sign him in December/February if he decided to change his mind. I love his upside but his recruitment has been wonky and I dont have to kiss his or anyone else's ass and pretend it hasn’t.
This guy made some decent points lol 😂

Completely get that argument.

There used to be an idea in the NFL that if a rookie comes in and is immediately expected to be the guy, you run an equal chance of destroying his career as you do to him flourishing (anecdotal).

Not sure that’s an angle to push or not?

I hope Carr wins the 2 spot this year and plays garbage time but I’d prefer Leonard and ND have an amazing season than Carr is forced into starting this season.

I don't have time this morning to figure this out myself, but I would be curious how many Top 12 (i.e. new playoff) teams in recent years have had starting QBs who were freshmen. I would guess very very few. Probably none.
Guys who start as a redshirt freshman/sophomore? Some (Michigan did it with JJ McCarthy in 2022), but still not all that many.

All you saying you wouldn’t visit a school for 100 grand I call bullshit
Of course. But if Auburn will pay him 100K to visit for a weekend (and, I mean, it's flippin' Auburn, how nice could it be?), how much will they pay him to actually attend and play football there?

Or the kid and his family are already financially well off, this the money being waved in his face isn't as life-changing and he can truly focus on academics and/or what you said.
