I remember going to the theater to see Destroy All Monsters as a kid and thinking it was the best movie I had ever seen……..I watched it again recently and I was slightly less impressed 🤣
I saw the original Clash of the Titans at the drive in when I was 6 and loved it. At some point I saw it again and couldn’t believe how godawful the special effects were.

Watched The Judge from 2014 with Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall. Not sure how I missed it when it came out, but a really, really good movie. Robert Duvall is outstanding as usual, but Robert Downey Jr. is one of the elite actors IMO.
Less Than Zero, Chaplin, US Marshalls, Wonder Boys, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Good Night and Good Luck, Iron Man, Tropic Thunder, Sherlock Holmes.

All before Oppenheimer. His catalog is really underrated because most people associate him with his substance abuse problems.

Less Than Zero was really not a good movie, but his performance made it and then proved to be prophetic. Guy had a pretty ridiculous childhood too.

All before Oppenheimer. His catalog is really underrated because most people associate him with being the coolest movie superhero and the catalyst that allowed Disney to print money hand over fist on a daily basis.

"Derrick get up. You look like the poster boy for birth control."

I watched that movie every day after school in fourth grade. If that's not Gen X, I don't know what is.

The Iron Claw: I grew up a big WWF fan and I’ve recently become fascinated by pro wrestling history so I really enjoyed this. I do feel like we didn’t get enough time with each character but I understand that’s hard to do with such a big, fucked up family. Pro wrestling really screwed up a lot of people and families and the Von Erichs were the worst example of that other than Chris Benoit.
I got around to watching it. Good movie but I doubt I'd recommend sitting through it to anyone. Just far too sad. I Grew up in the 80s and was a wrestling fan. I remember David passing away in Japan due to a "stomach virus." You find out years later just how messed up this family really was.

I remember Kerry from his pre WWE days. They were all pretty awesome wrestlers. Kevin wrestling barefoot was iconic. I thought Efron did a great job and the actors who played the parents Holt McCallany and Maura Tierney were excellent.

My older cousin was a huge wrestling fan and a big fan of the Von Erichs. He won't watch it.

I completely agree with this. Even as someone who wasn't a huge wrestling fan (my wife was growing up), I left the theater very bummed out, honestly.

It was a really good movie, I thought it was well done, but man....it will give you the blues

Filmed in Northbrook. Another North Shore classic. We had a copy of that one too that we watched until the tape wore out.

"This is a Persian missile, Chip."

"Chet. My name is Chet. And I know it's not a whale's dick, honey."

Been watching a lot of movies lately as sports getting slower until football season. Just rewatched "Patriot's Day". Forgot how good this is. Wahlberg is incredible in this powerful film. For those who haven't seen it, buckle up for a fantastic, gripping movie.

Just watched boy kills world. It's a fun turn your brain off and enjoy crazy action type movie. Then on the flip side I just rewatched Troy. So underrated.

Anyone else watched Saltburn?? Fucking hell
This movie was absolutely crazy. And bringing back Murder on the DanceFloor is basically Stranger Things bringing back Running Up That Hill.

I'm still trying to process it to the point that I don't know if I want to watch it a second time or never again in my life ever.

My movie watching binge continues until football season gets here. Tonight was White Boy Rick. True story about a kid famously dealing drugs in Michigan in the 80s. Acting was powerful and strong with Matthew McCoughney in rare form. A little dark but worth a watch.

watched the Iron Claw the other night and enjoyed it. Anyone who has ever endured any family tragedy will really feel some things watching it

the funniest shit was they released it at Christmas and so many families in the UK watched it together on Christmas Day not knowing the content of the film lol

Watched “Unstoppable” w/ Denzel Washington this weekend when it was on TV. One of the dumbest, most unrealistic movies I’ve ever seen.

I hadn't watched Denzel flick in a few years, then just ran through The Equalizer trilogy. Highly recommend.

Could be wrong but I thought it was based on a true story?

One of the worst superhero things I've ever seen. Not quite she hulk levels of awful. But I was angry about the time I wasted. Sydney sweeney is wrapped up in so many clothes. They couldn't even give us that.

Andrew McCarthy's Brat Pack documentary is pretty good. I really enjoyed having people like Timothy Hutton, Jon Cryer and Lea Thompson included.

McCarthy sitting down with the guy who actually wrote the Brat Pack article was really something.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Pretty straight forward. Nothing special. I do have a man crush on Alan Ritchson so I give it a 10 out of 10.
It’s also sort of based on a true story of some guys, the true story is pretty fascinating
