Watched The Judge from 2014 with Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall. Not sure how I missed it when it came out, but a really, really good movie. Robert Duvall is outstanding as usual, but Robert Downey Jr. is one of the elite actors IMO.

Watched Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire with my kids last night.

I honestly thought it was a blast. If you're looking for a cinematic masterpiece with great writing, you're in the wrong genre.

It was almost non-stop action with giant monsters fighting each other. Hardly any lulls like the last Godzilla vs Kong.

My only complaint is that the final fight could have been longer, or included more danger for the "good guy" monsters. They kind of wasted Skar King, a great villain, with what felt like a pretty quick resolution.

Seems like maybe they're setting up a "war of the monsters" type thing, but I never watched the OG Godzilla films, so not sure if there is something along those lines or not.

I remember going to the theater to see Destroy All Monsters as a kid and thinking it was the best movie I had ever seen……..I watched it again recently and I was slightly less impressed 🤣
