There's still 3 trials to go? I'm not sure this is going to go the way they want it, could backfire. The donation site was down at times due to traffic yesterday.

I assumed this would happen. I don’t know how much this guilty verdict will sway who people will vote for, but I figured it pissed off enough people that it would raise donations significantly.

I believe the consensus is there will be at most one trial before the election. At most. The DC one.

Florida no. Georgia no.

Did Clinton create a fake company and hide the payment as legal fees in order to keep it a secret from the public? If this was to settle a suit then that’s legal and public lmao.

Again. No one cares Trumped fucked a porn star. It’s not against the law to payoff people to settle suits. lol. Maybe by the morality police. They care that he conspires to keep it a secret through fraudulent means. Not hard to understand. If he had done it publically and via legal means I’m sure it would have been totally cool. False equivalency

Clinton essentially committed the same crime (masking funds for the Steele Dossier as “legal services” and “legal and compliance consulting”) to help aid her in her election campaign.

Trump used his to pay off a porn star, Clinton used hers to fuel a theory that Trump was conpiring with Russia to undermine the election, goading the FBI into an investigation on Trump and parrotted by Democrats for years (and still to this day) to deny the results of the 2016 election. Clinton got a fine, Trump got 34 felony convictions.

And this is not to mention that Trumps case was tried by a DA that got elected on the promise that he would charge Trump with felony, led by a prosecutor, Matthew Colangelo, who stepped down as the #3 at the Biden DOJ to take a MUCH lower job at the Manhattan DA office, *AND* that the current presidents campaign sponsored a rally on the footsteps of the courthouse at the close of the trial demanding a guilty verdict....

Also this legal theory of using federal election violations (never actually charged and tried in court) to "trump" up state misdemeanors as felonies has NEVER been used in the history of this country, *AND* by saying that the statute of limitations (which expired in this case in 2018-2019) did not apply because Trump was not in the state at the time is also incredibly dubious.

That doesn't mean I don't think that the republican officials who did the same as the democrats t the courthouse are not reprehensible as well. But it would be incredibly ignorant to say that this trial was anything but a political witchhunt brought up during an election year to punish Trump and damage his election chances specifically.

I’m not talking about crime in general. I’m talking about a specific crime that y’all are saying shouldn’t have been prosecuted.

Lmao at thinking me and Toronto are the same. Lmaoooooooooooooooooo. Conspiracies are everywhere MGT. I’m an expert financial advisor and an amazing structural engineer at the same time. 😂

@TorontoGold this is wild shit.
Defensive much!

I simply said I get why OTHERS see you as the same person. I don’t care either way. You can have 3 accounts for all I care. Reading comprehension is a skill you have yet to master.

I’m beginning to think you guys live in your moms basement… either different mom or same mom, different basement or same basement… and have these pretend jobs you can google your way through. Either way I don’t really care.

Not sure this is a good look. It doesn't do anything to dismiss leaders in other countries calling us a Banana Republic. It's a little creepy too, not gonna lie.

I work in the construction industry (supply side) for one of the largest companies in the US. The industry is usually a leading indicator. We have missed our last two quarterly earnings for the first time in a decade. Mandate just came down to dump inventory now to save from loses in the future. Never heard that in my career in industry which spans almost two decades.

I have flown four times in the last month during normal travel times out of major airports like LAX and none of the flights were full and two were more than half empty. I have not seen this since the beginning of the '08 recession.

Personal/credit card debt is at record highs, which with extremely high interest rates, becomes almost insurmountable hill to overcome.

You are starting to see more earning misses and the stock market beginning to show it. The media is pumping a faux story of a booming economy to build up Biden which most Americans know is not the truth.
Housing starts have been trending down the past two years. Housing supply has been trending up over the same period. The Fed has been increasing rates over this period. Carrying costly inventory when starts are reducing and interest rates being high is common sense.

This is what happened in 07/08 too.

This is exactly how inflation gets cut through monetary policy.

Funny enough the link I posted above mentions just this same thing.

I have no idea how much this will affect this election. Everybody knows who they are voting for regardless. I was going to vote for RFK Jr. but they just keep beating this dead horse with this guy and ripping the country apart that now im just gonna hold my nose and vote for Trump. I'm sure their will be others who will do the same. And there are probably some who will be turned off by it and won't.

I'm in the same camp except I was going to write someone in instead of vote for RFK

Law and Order!!!!! I cant believe the DA ran on getting Trump, imagine if Alvin Bragg was running for President and said he was going "lock up" his opponent!!!! My goodness! I loved that shit, but when it happened to MY GUY?!? Well, that's just political and it's tearing everyone apart. Either way, the family values and law and order party is going to have the convicted criminal who cheated on his wife because well, the media of course!

Good stuff. Thanks for the rant 😀

I don't know, did Trump say that he would prosecute her or make sure she would be? I thought he said that they should lock her up. But even more importantly, did he actually do it?

In the end it doesn't really matter what you think about it. This isn't an insult but honestly, you're not even an American. You're allowed to have an opinion o course. It just doesn't mean anything. And that's ok. I have opinions about what's going on currently on PEI. But it means nothing.

Yeah Trump is reprehensible I don't dispute that. But please remind me, did he weaponize his DOJ and District Attorney offices in the country to try to incarcerate Hillary or his other political opponents?

He signed legislation that made what she did a felony instead of a misdemeanor because he wasn’t able to prosecute her…….. and then broke his own law lol

I pay and file tax returns in multiple states. I don’t receive any representation. I have multiple friends and family who live in red and blue states. So, thanks for your concern, but as a tax paying person I’d argue my opinion matters. I don’t even know what my tax dollars go to when I drive through the Midwest - it looks like a Walking Dead set.

Ok, since you asked to be reminded, here’s a nice summary Justice Dept. Investigated Clinton Foundation Until Trump’s Final Days (Published 2023)

Biden didn’t prosecute Trump.

I know but I'm not the one who compared Trump chanting lock her up to fire up a crowd to Bragg campaigning to prosecute (when his predassessors passed) and then bending over backwards and Changing misdemeanors to felonies to beat thee statute of limitaions to get an indictment.

I also believe the number 3 resigned from the DOJ to take a big step down just so he could prosecute this case.

We get it. Trump has always worked Grey areas and he probably did technically break the law. They 'got him'.

But all this stuff is really above my pay grade. All I can do is cast my ballot . I need to end this post so I can get home. If I hurry, I can still catch The Waltons.

That's it. You badmouthed the Midwest, which includes Notre Dame.

I didn't want to do this. I was going to lift my decree. But now it stands. The decree I made in 1993. 'Let no Canadian team ever win The Lord Stanley Cup again!'

If the Leafs don’t win, I want an American team to win. My hatred for every other Canadian team is like Michigan levels.

I think investigating the sale of Uranium to Russia, deciding there was nothing there, and then not prosecuting is very different than a convoluted case past the statute of limitations for 34 felony convictions
