How did the wheels come off the Prime train already? I saw something where he basically said "Fuck 'em, they suck" towards the players that transferred, but what else happened there?

Would anyone take Edwards back?
If we lost one of our frontline RBs sure, but hard to see how he gets many touches. He's not better than Price or Love. And honestly after, what, three semesters at Colorado it probably doesn't work admissions-wise anyway.

I would, he didn't burn bridges when he left the class. It was a perfect storm of the hype for Deion and Colorado and the fact that he already had a personal relationship with him or I think he would've stayed Irish.

Nah. Giving touches to Edwards would mean less touches for Love and Price. I’ll take Love over Edwards 100 times out of 100.
Not to mention Payne looked like Darius Walker in the spring game and Williams looked like a future stud.

The RB room is loaded and the O line needs bodies. But if there is room after that, yes take him. His skillset would be unique on this roster and you can find him some touches.

idk if there is a single thing that Edwards does better than Love. Why take touches from Love? I guess he’s shiftier maybe

Plus, the only decommit I’d really welcome back from that class is Keeley. Edwards can kick rocks.

If you guys remember while listed as a RB by the recruiting services, ND didn't. They wanted him as a playmaker, a dynamic piece that they could use to exploit defenses with from multiple positions.

At ND Dylan would be inverse of Jeremiyah Love. Listed as a WR and the vast majority of the time he would be a receiver but would get a handful of rushing touches whether it's from jet sweeps, reverses or in motion to the backfield.

He probably would take 4 or 5 touches away from that loaded RB collective that ND has but IMO that's not a bad thing even with all that RB talent. Dylan might end up in the backfield for a few plays but that's not going to be where he would lineup as he's not a RB at Notre Dame. Make no mistake he's a WR here, a dynamic piece that they want to get the ball to however they can.

I, for one would love to see Dylan in a Denbrock offense. Imagine the possibilities. Seriously imagine having some plays with him, Price and Love together a long with the running ability of Riley. The threat of Riley alone will help open things up for the offense but having those 3 dynamic pieces would cause alot of confusion and a whole lot of problems for defenses.

Edwards at ND is a WR who would see a handful of rushing touches just to get the ball into a playmakers hands. His rushing touches would almost exclusively come from a WR position and his touches would come at the expense of Price and Love but if any it would be the other RBs.

The problem with taking him as a WR-that-can-play-RB is he's clearly a slot receiver... and ND is already loaded up on those. I don't think you take touches from Greathouse or Faison for Edwards, when those guys have unique skillsets and high upside of their own, if not the home run speed.

It would be great to have Edwards' home run ability in the return game, but I don't think you upset the apple cart at slot or RB for him at this point.

I would Love to have Dylan back in the fold at ND because it would be nice to have all these truly dynamic pieces for Denbrock to play with but it's not going to happen but I would love to be wrong because it would just be so dumb fun.

I agree that it probably wont happen... but the competition on the roster for Edwards is probably Jayden Harrison rather than Love or Price.

Greathouse and Faison?

This isn’t the 2020-2022 wide receiver groups anymore.

But why is he leaving CO? If it’s b/c another RB is transferring in from OSU, then why would he want to transfer to one of the deepest RB rooms in the nation? He wants more touches…not fewer.

I don't know if Darius Walker ever fumbled twice in a half. Payne lost one ball, and would have lost a 2nd had there been Replay on Saturday. He's got to clean that up.

I'd love Edwards if this was December and we had all spring and summer to work him in with Price and Love. Now, I think we are set. Good luck to him though.
