Woohoo! My boys knocked off UNC 89-87 to reach the Elite 8 against Clemson. Heck of a game from both sides.

1 seed UNC and 4 seed Bama are putting on a good game. UNC was up by 10 at one point in the first half, but Bama has made a comeback and they've been swapping the lead back & forth the past few minutes. UNC still probably wins this one, but my guys aren't going quietly.
I just got home from the games. That first game was some awful basketball especially by Arizona.

The focus on the 3-ball has got to end. It usually leads to the detriment of a team's night.

My only problem with lacrosse is it is pretty hard to see the ball. Especially when they shoot. Otherwise it is a very good sport to watch.

I only saw the second half, but with their D, I don't think AZ was going to make it to the FF anyway. You're right about relying on the 3 ball. If it isn't dropping you're in trouble if that's your primary offense.

Glad to see Carolina go down.

That was the other thing we were taking about was how bad a defensive team AZ is. They were giving up dunks on inbound plays underneath their own basket. 1st grade teams know how to defend those plays.

One of the more frenetic games from start to finish than I’ve watched in a while!
Lots of isolation basketball and defense with their hands down sagging off frequently. Total 360 from the player and ball movement and suffocating effort on defense from Uconn.

Gonzaga has outplayed Purdue, kept Edey to 11 points and still down 4 at the half.

I’m not used to being a conference fan. Do we start an ACC chant now for NC State?

We’re not that far away. We were right there with NCSU this year.

Why Marquette didn’t consistently drive to the hoop is beyond me. Especially when NC States offense was non existent in the middle of the 2nd.

Was glad to see Houston go down. Sampson has been one of the biggest cheats all of his career. With the gray area in the rules as big as an ocean today, it gives him more camouflage to hide behind. A rose by any other name…..

I think Illinois is going to give UConn all they can handle. May not beat them, but I see this being close all the way to the end.

ILL keeping it close against Ct would be different from recent history. The stat they showed on the broadcast during CT’s game the other night was eye popping. Their margin of victory in every tournament game this year and last have been ridiculous. Must be an avg of 18-20.

I’d be shocked. Reality is that ISU last game was the first ranked opponent Illinois has beaten all year which is being overlooked. Meanwhile, Uconn has dismantled pretty much everyone all year.

UConn going down would be a shocker in my opinion to anyone. I’m surprised in Purdue, I sort saw them like the Cody Zeller, Olidipo lead Hoosiers that have a great team but would fall to a decent matchup. But they have proven they belong.

It will be a real disappointment if the CG isn’t Purdue / UConn. Those are clearly the two best teams
No. We want Bama and Purdue.

Bama has the best basketball player from ND since Phil Jackson. I want him to get to the title...then I want Purdue to win for my bracket pool.

I’ve watched pretty much every Purdue game this year. While four out of five starters are the same, they play much better than last years team. While they took a lot of heat for last year, I read where they have made the Sweet 16 five out of the last seven years. The only other team to do that is Gonzaga. 2009 they lost to UVA in OT in the E8.

Houston has made 5 in a row too.

Crean not knowing to flash Watford and Zeller to the lane for 12 foot gimme's is why he should be selling insurance.

Absolutely insane they seem surprised Syracuse and Boheim would play zone the whole game.

Especially after failing to read the universe's hint when they played Temple, the all time freak zone program, the game before. Yes, Coach Cheney was long gone by then but come on man. Know your history Crean.

If only the cell phone had been invented 10 years sooner. Kelvin woulda been on Natty #3 or 4 by now in Bloomington.

Give UConn credit but Illinois is killing themselves. Taking bad shot after bad shot. Best player forgot to show up.

Its easy to say that, but Uconns relentless defense doesnt give you many easy shots. Clingan eliminates everything inside and they are incredibly active and contest everything on the perimeter
