For some reason all the videos for that game are coming up unavailable on Youtube for me. The one on the Steam page looks alright though. The game looks like a weird mashup of Total War and Army of Darkness.

[EDIT] Apparently my browser needed to update, that was causing the issue.

I’m not a big online co-op guy… with three kids under 8, I don’t have the consistent nighttime schedule to know I’ll be on with the squad on a regular basis.

Having said that, Helldivers 2 looks amazing

Manor Lords is coming out soon and it looks really promising. Another city builder/RTS/ Total War hybrid type

Fuckin' wild that they're saying PS5 has reached the later half of it's lifecycle. From a past console release cadence it makes sense, given new consoles seem to come out every 7 years roughly, but it also took 2 years for Sony to meet demand to a point they could keep consoles on the shelves and alleviate the scalping. As one developer said, he finally just got a PS5 and it feels like this console generation has barely gotten started. The pandemic put a wrench in things too.

I barely play my PS5 honestly. I mostly got it to support my failing PS4 after my son killed it. It just makes more sense to game on PC.

Ps5 really needs the new GTA game to give it meaningfulness now. I feel like personally my ps4 gave me the chance to play red dead redemption 2 which I loved but nothing on ps5 so far has moved the needle in same way

They have done Attila, Rome 2, Troy ... time to get back to gun powder. Doesn't really matter anyways they will probably just make another Warhammer or a crap "historical" title with heros and stuff

So yeah they basically have 3 separate teams now one making warhammer, one making the historical titles like Britannia and then a third in Bulgaria that made the Troy and Egypt games

Anyone get into emulators and what not? If you have a good spot to get roms (particularly MAME games), please send me an IM or whatever the official term is. Thanks

Helldivers 2 is great... but the servers are severely overloaded. Have to wait upwards of 30 minutes to get in a game right now

I put together a RetroPie build for Raspberry Pi during the pandemic. The board prices skyrocketed during the shortage, but I heard they've been coming down recently. I got a lot of MAME arcade games via torrents, big catalogs there.

That sounds absolutely awesome. Warhammer isn't Total War's problem, it's the monetization strategy. The level of army/unit diversity is great in the Warhammer games. 40K is sick though I'm very curious how they handle the fact that most 40K battle lore is done with ranged weapons and spaceships.
