LOL. Seriously though those coaches change their demeanor when they’re on set as a studio analyst. Look at all the former HC w/ seemingly zero charisma transition to a studio show. Chip Kelly, Chris Peterson, Urban Meyer were all as stoic as they come but all have been serviceable analysts. It’s crazy to see them laugh & smile so I think when they know they’re not going to be at risk of a “gotcha” question by media then can lower their veil & be themselves. Urban Meyer is actually enjoyable listening to when talking Xs & Os. I suspect Saban will be as well. Did y’all see Belichick on Gameday for Army vs Navy? He was still stiff as a board but actually showed he was human. I was shocked. LOL..

Nobody said Saban wasn't a great coach or recruiter.

But once other teams could also buy players and they could transfer, suddenly he didn't look so invincible. If he didn't have overwhelming talent against an opponent, it got dicey.

No it's really not. I'm not talking who built the greatest dynasty. Who has the most accomplished career.Who got the most talent. I'm talking you take two coaches and two teams with similar talent, skill time to prepare, resources, etc. You take Saban and Harbaugh to coach them and I'm taking Harbaugh. He also proved that he could do it with professionals. Something Saban could not.

I’d love it if he did TV work because I would love to hear his thoughts and analysis on the game of football, particularly college football. I may be in the minority, but I enjoy smart football talk because I enjoy the game of football. I don’t enjoy the Pat McAfee’s of the world and his type of shtick. Nothing against you if you do enjoy that, just not my thing.

For now, Saban is the best college football coach of all time. But I do think Harbaugh is an elite football coach who’s had undeniable success at both levels. Harbaugh is 12 years younger, he has a chance to win a couple more titles if he coaches for another 10-12 years. He’s probably gonna leave for the NFL though, and if he did, I wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually won a Super Bowl

I’d say what Belichick accomplished in the NFL is more difficult as it’s a sport designed to prevent dynasties. Can’t think of another that went on a run (3 Super Bowls), then retooled the entire roster (minus Brady) and won another 3. Phil Jackson won more. Coach K won 5. Not sure if you’re just talking American sports but I’m sure there are others. Saban is definitely the best college football coach in the last 30 years.
