He is good no doubt about it. But I think the he needs to be back 1B behind Price. Price has tremendous vision and good strength. Then you complement with Love and this back field will be just as dangerous. Deland has done a fantastic job.

Price has a good juke stick and can bounce side to side very well. Love can be a very good 1B but would be a very good 1A obviously if needed. Running back U. Lol.

I can’t be the only one that sees so much CJ Procise in his game. Procise was electric in 2015 so that certainly has me excited with Denbrock back

He and Price remind me of the 2011 Jonas Grey/CW tandem. Both guys hit their stride at the same time and were incredible for half a season. Before and after, for various reasons, the promise was there but the production was not.

Yesterday was a great example of tantalizing speed not seeing cut back lanes or leverage. Excited to see if Dmac stays and can spend some time working on that specific trait with him.

The first play of the game shows the difference. It's the same drive starting run the ND has used all year that teams blitzed off the edge and up the middle to stuff. Except, Love hit the hole faster than Estime and got a good gain versus a 1 or 2 yard gain. This isn't a knock on Estime. The run game next year will produce more longer runs and more stuffs. But Love and Price are going to be some serious problems if RL runs a few keepers.

Props to coach Deland for sharing the carries with the RB's on the roster. Love & Price's game will improve next season with Denbrock as the OC.

I can see it starting out with a RB1 & RB2 with Love and Price & Love ending up being the #1 back. No knock on Price, I think Love brings more as a all around RB.

They both have speed which is what Bryant/Folston were supposed to be.

Fightingirish26 beat me to it. Kyren is the best "pure" RB I've seen at ND. He had vision, balance, acceleration, hard cuts, great pass pro and a phenomenal stiff arm. The only thing he lacks is high-end speed.

Tarean was a good RB. Kyren is the best RB in the last 15 years, perhaps there's a thought he could be challenged by Theo Riddick who was better as an APB.

Cierre Wood was really good at the running back part. Audric was a really good, bruising back who seemed to always pick up positive yardage and he's more agile than he gets credit for.

There is a reason Kyren changes the entire dynamic of the Rams offense now that he's healthy (prayers he stays that way). It's because he's lethal even when you think you have him bottled up. Look at some of his college highlights, guys are celebrating because they believe the plays is dead and he spins out of a hit, keeps his balance and still scores. Stiff arms, spins, jukes.

And to circle back: Price and Love both have a legitimate argument to be made as "RB1" but we have to hope they want to coexist at ND. We will lose someone from that room. There are 4 RBs capable of playing good ball and we have 2 freshmen coming in. I'm afraid we're going to lose Payne (no intel) just from an expected usage standpoint. He would be a starter at another P5 school.

Love and Price can do a lot of things for an offense and I think Kedren Young and Aneyas each add something unique. Kedren runs so violently, he looks like he could carve out a role for short yardage/goal line situations.

I love Estime as a player and he seems like an awesome dude, but there were times this year I felt he danced a little too much when there wasnt much there and ended up taking a no gain or loss rather than just hitting hard into the back of his line and churning 3 yards like Love does a lot when there is nothing there. Big difference between 2nd and 7 and 2nd and 10.

Agree 100% I think the offense benefited from how Estime would just batter the defense into submission. Nobody could do that but him. It will be a different run game next year obviously, but I think it will be more electric and could end up more productive.

Not an awful problem to have really. You want great weapons at Slot. Our outside receivers the last decade haven't really dominated like they did during the Weis years. Until the new crop proves themselves the Slot is the most dangerous spot.
