Any number of reasons for a "delay" can make sense. The ND staff being frustrated does not make sense. Very easy to say "this is when, this why" if you're RL.

Genuinely, Banks would be a good third transfer portal WR pick up. Big possession guy who can play on the perimeter.

Banks led Wake Forest this season with 59 catches for 653 yards and four touchdowns. Banks was more explosive in 2022, needing just 42 receptions to produce 636 yards and nine touchdowns.

In 2022 he had Sam Hartman, who starred at Notre Dame this season, throwing him passes. This season Banks was catching balls from a less proven quarterback in sophomore Mitch Griffis.

What's more is that Banks had the highest contested catch rate (58.6%) of anyone in the ACC in 2022, and that rate ranked fifth among Power-5 receivers.
