You started the year angry at people for telling you Merriweather wasn't going to be good and are now poopoping picking up a 6'3, 200 LB experienced WR. May want to sit WR talk out for a bit, respectfully.

If Beaux is your 4th best WR, thats a pretty good room. Mitchel, Fiason, JG/Thomas.

I doubt ND thinks he's 4th worst but I'm saying that's his floor. We got a #1 in Mitchel and almost had another in Kelly. Beaux is a hell of a fall back and low risk.

I don't know the stats, but it has seemed like we've struggled to convert 3rd and short. It'll be nice to have a running threat at QB and a reliable possession receiver

What I like most is the different body types and skill sets we have in the receiver room. We no longer have 4 slot receivers playing X and Z. Offense should look a lot different next year. Plus year three in Goldens defense.

Tyree was more than solid. He was a big play threat. You can argue your subjective opinions about his wiggle and breaking tackles all you like.

In his first and only full season at WR, he averaged 18yds/rec. I’d much rather have that on the roster and use a TE for what Beaux Collins does.

His YPC was so high because his volume was low. A couple of long catches really skewed that number.

Again, I predicted this before he committed to 3-9 Virginia, but he's transferring to a much lesser program. Even if he looked outside of his home state, I don't think he would've been a hot commodity

So Beaux Collins and Kris Mitchell combined had equivalent stats in 2023 to our total 9 WRs.
Individually they have more yards than any receivers on our team.

Collins looks like an already improved Merriweather and he could still take a step.

Mitchell looks like a way better Rico and he could still take a step.

If we can find someone with the speed of a Braylon (or if someone from our current roster wants to step into that role) then we should have a very potent offense. Coupled with the WRs we already have in the room, this should be a nice rotation.

He's a guy who will be fine in 10/12 games but cannot be depended to get separation against elite competition.

He’s not entirely wrong..
