This guy reported Rico Flores transferring a full 24 hours before any other outlet.

Again, this guy respect2sport just throws darts at the wall with already known info. He doesn’t actually have any sources. He predicted Rico transferring AFTER Loy had already alluded to it. Freeman’s presser yesterday pretty much confirmed Sam wasn’t going to play and he posts this today? Don’t give him clicks

BTW, while it sounds great that Oreogn State lost their starting QB and his backup, their 3rd string QB started for them in 2022.

• Played in 10 games, making eight starts. Went 7-1 as Oregon State’s starting quarterback
• Was 121-of-194 (62.4 percent) passing, throwing for 1,455 yards and nine touchdowns. Also ran for 52 yards and five touchdowns while recording one catch

Game could be more interesting than first thought.

If you are a guy that's got even a shot of going pro and making it and your team isn't in the playoff then I have zero problem with you sitting.
I'd disagree. I think it makes more sense for a guy who is guaranteed to be a day 1 pick.
For someone on the fringe like Marist, it seems like a gamble. Why not take another opportunity to put some havoc on film?

If i remember correctly, their 3rd string guy started like 8 or 9 games last year and had a 60%+ completion percentage. They aren't walking out a PWO. He's got way more experience than PB&J or Minchey.
Well. IF he was that good, I would have suspected that got into more than 1 game and passed more than once this year! Plus, their top WR and RB are NOT playing also. AND with as many of their coaches won't be involved, who the hell is going to do the game plan and make any necessary adjustments during the game?

Does the opportunity to have one more game film outweigh the possibility of injury? Idk

To me, it would not.

I would imagine that the NFL isn't going to make a drastically different decision based on one game's worth of film that was probably played against another team not at full strength due to opt outs and transfers.

he probably had his strating tackle, wr, and running back in those games. he wont in the bowl game.

However, were gonna be on a backup qb without our starting tackles, rb, and some wr's too so sounds like this shit will be evenly matched.

Assuming Alt, Blake, & Audric arent playing, its tough to blame Sam. Already missing his favorite target in Mitch

Looks like all of Oregon St's opt outs are on offense (so far) and they have a good defense. More to come, of course.

You would think if a decent team had massive transfers it’d be OSU with everything going on there,…

Just win the damn game. Being 0-3 vs the bearded clams will make life unbearable for those of us living in Oregon.

Because the risk of going in the 3rd, 4th or 5th round injury-free versus being undrafted could be millions of dollars. See
It's just not worth the risk.

Especially now that we know he will have considerable more experience than Angeli

If the news on Hartman and all the rest is correct, are we down to four starters from our normal offense?
Greathouse, Thomas and the two guards.

I'm worried about this as well. As someone has stated already, most of their defense is still there along with the D-Coordinator. They will likely rally around that and I could see Fennwick running for 4 TD's easily. It's would suck living every day knowing that we could never take them down.

Yeah, the weak spot of ND’s team is definitely the defense by a wide margin…

More like intramural. Might as well make it flag football so no one is hurt going into spring practice.
