The throw at 16 seconds, big arm guy. Not the fastest release though. Instant reaction is I'd take Riley over him right now, but I can see the appeal.

Follow the follows my friends. I'd take the field if the evidence wasn't overwhelming.

Fans of essentially every major program sans UGA, Michigan, Bama, and a few others are in his mentions. Regardless of how good he actually he is, this would be another major get out of the portal.

Under 60% career completion percentage. On an average of 7.4 yards. I would not get excited about that.
Yeah, you already said that in the other thread.
Did you actually watch him play?
Do you analyze QB play?
Or are you judging 4 years of major college football ability off of reading one stat line off of ESPN?

In his last 7 games this fellow scored 38, 41, 41, 30, 59, 31, 35 vs Big12 teams and Houston.
One has a difficult time imagining him not being a good QB organizing an offense.

Don't know anything about the kid other than what I just read. Why is this giving me Jack Coan flashbacks!?!?

I absolutely don’t watch Kansas state football. I looked at the stats from each game as well. I will give him credit he had a good pass completion rate against Texas.

It's funny how all the hate on Angeli started back during his prep time and mostly based on his rating.

Looking at both their prep profiles it's damn near a copy paste and if anything Angeli looking like the better prospect.

John Brice said on the II podcast that Riley Leonard has "some significant suitors", particularly on the west coast, who pay very heavy sums of money to get QB's out of the portal. Prister asked him who specifically and Brice said that those teams wear green and purple. Oregon and Washington.

A key difference though is that, since being a prospect, Howard has won a bunch of games and a Big 12 title and played in an NY6 bowl. Angeli has mopped up a few blowouts.

IDK that you'd pick Howard as a recruit or that anyone expects him to become some elite QB for us, but as a one-year rental he offers something we don't have on the roster post-Hartman: A ton of experience.

Oh yeah no doubt. But just thinking of an alternate universe where Angeli went to wake or kstate, started 3 years and then became available for ND and everyone drooling.

Don't we pay heavy sums of money for transfer QBs?

Oh for sure. That's probably who we wind up with, be it Howard or someone else. Some high school three-star who's played a bunch of college football. (of course that would also describe Hartman)
