Riley's got that dog in him. Bigger arm, taller, and better runner than Hartman. You can tell his OL wasn't great and he can read the pocket and get out of it.

And to think we can his mom on pre-game fillers about how she tells him "You Suck"

I am sure this will all work out really well.

BTW, looks like the do a lot of Play Action and RPO with Leonard at Duke. With War Daddy still trying to understand these concepts, I am not sure this is a good fit.

But he does pass well and decent legs.... sorta looks like what we were all hoping Buchner would become.

Now Riley lemme learn ya a thing or two about my offensive schemin’ here at ND. Ole Gino learnt me this thing called a “play action.” Turns out it’s the exact same thing we always called “fake handoff pass” back in the hills and hollers. Anyways we’re gonna be doin a lot more of that cause I reckon just about every time we ran it we had those DBs more bamboozled than a feller lookin’ for a corner to piss in in a round barn. So ah yeah come on down and let me learn ya a thing or two.

Honest question, Howard leaving… was he “pushed” out by Avery or did he leave for greener pastures?

If Howard went to ND and Leonard to OSU, Oregon or Texas or some other team probably wins the NC. ND didn't have the receivers and I'm not sure Leonard had the arm to do as well as Howard at OSU. Who knows though.

I think it worked out for both. I wanted Will Howard over RL at the time and the first half of the season or so I felt vindicated in that. By the end of the year, RL is one of my favorite players over the past decade. The heart of a lion.

They were picked 4 spots away from each other in the Draft. That’s just two different flavors of the same thing in the end.

Yeah no regrets here, and it worked out well for Howard too.

That keeper against UGA said everything anyone ever wanted to know about RL. He also turned into a decent passer the last third of the season.

OSU starter?
Well, there's one less team I need to worry about come playoff time.

But to be honest with the talent OSU had around Howard they could have won with my grandma under center. Howard played it off in that article above like he had a personal axe to grind against ND, which is kind of silly.
