Well Bishop, you knew you were living through the glory days this last decade and a half. I have no doubt you appreciated this run more than most. You knew it would have to come to an end one day. I know it's tough but you have to like the fact that it was Notre Dame and not Auburn or Tennessee, that took down the Saban dynasty.

I think Saban, even if it was only subconsciously, knew this was how it should end. As a practicing Catholic, he used Notre Dame as a way to cleanse his soul from the evil that is Alabama football. I personally think it is too little too late but that's for someone else to decide.

What Saban meant is "Tommy has lost the opportunity to make that decision'.

It isn't. But he worked there before, recruited at ND under academic restrictions and grew up in Lake Forest, 20 miles from Evanston, so in the minds of many he's already hired.

Most people can do what Feldman does. The candidate list is going to be NU alums and Chicago natives to start. People like Elko, Clawson, MAC coaches. It's not all that complicated.

This season will be worse than last at this rate, my guy. Losses to USC and Clemson for sure. Wake is doing 400+ yards a game and will come out fired up. Pitt may be the only guaranteed win because their offense is just as bad.

There is no evidence that Tommy Rees is an especially talented offensive coordinator. He was fine here and is now less than fine at Alabama. There are more options than Tommy Rees and Gerad Parker. Not hiring one of those options is the blunder of the early MF era, and it's probably not on MF.

We're 6 for 30 on 3rd down the last 2 weeks. This is with a pretty good OL, Hartman, Estime, Evans, and a better group of WRs. Tommy did more with a lot less. Alabama is getting better each week and is 5-1, we are getting worse.

I would have loved to have Ludwig or Klein, but we botched those and hired someone we shouldn't have.

Here's what I'll say about Tommy... 0.0% chance he wouldn't have made adjustments to what Louisville was doing. Maybe they would've worked, maybe they wouldn't have, but he would've tried something. Parker came out of halftime and actually did worse than the first half.

Fired him for being pre season 5 and having 4 regular season losses mostly on offense , fired him for assessing qb room without Kelly and thinking Buchner and pyne were good enough

Obviously that wasn’t going to happen, but nd should have know he wanted out and been prepared like we weren’t prepared for Kelly to leave… now we’re in a hot mess
