Goodness…

From a football perspective, he got all the breaks and chances a kid could want, just couldn’t cash in. Hope for his sake he took his academics seriously so that he can have some kind of career.

He went to serious schools, at least. Figure he got his degree from BC? Time to go pro in something other than football, Phil.
Wild though that going into last season he was being projected as a potential first-round draft pick.

The words aren't making sense to me (above) but I'm not of the correct generation to understand much of the modernity --- but, football history-wise, with the exception of our Leon Hart, the old protypical TE was from Pitt --- Mike Ditka. Doubt that there are many points of similarity between him and the wayward Jurk, though.

The switch to TE worked out great for Tim Tebow.

Literally thought he would be the difference maker when he signed with ND. I loved his high school film. I know he's been a douche, but I still feel badly for him. It sounds like Chip Long and Kelly were absolute dicks to him.

To be fair, that switch should have been done a hell of a lot sooner with TT. Whoever was advising him should have had him working out as a TE from the get go once he left Florida. I never understood it.

Phil has neither the athleticism or intangibles of a Tebow, so making this move now probably doesn't matter. As soon as Tebow played his last game as a Gator, he should have been working out as a TE going into his draft.

I mean, he was a 1st round pick QB lol. I think it all worked out just fine for Tebow

Yeah, I wasn't going to go into that, but since you brought it up I think we need to keep in mind that the inmates were running the asylum in Denver at the time. The owner Pat Bowlen was in the beginning of his battle with dementia. Josh McDaniels convinced them all to trade up into the first round to draft Tebow when nobody else was considering this. The rest is history. McDaniels got fired before his second year even ended. McDaniels will forever be linked with Tebow.

Did it turn out fine for Tebow? I guess in a financial sense it did. He played three years in The League and started 16 games. Then he was gone. He was one of the most competitive and celebrated college players ever. You'd think his professional career would have bore more than 16 starts.

One could safely position that he should have gone for H Back/TE right out of the draft. He probably doesn't go first round but he likely proves to have a longer NFL career.

They weren’t at all.
They treated him the same way they treated Book & all the other QBs.
Phil just couldn’t handle it.
And two other things, he was very jealous of Book & didn’t work hard, but his head was filled with BS by his parents & media people like Driskell that he was awesome & it was the staff’s fault.
How immature he was is being shown the past couple years with his public behavior. But imagine that same behavior behind the scene towards the coaches & other QBs.

Yeah, from all reports dude was an entitled chud who expected the job to be handed to him, and couldn't accept that Ian Book beat him out.

I still, to this day, am amazed that this guy actually accused ND of cultural appropriation for playing "Shipping Up to Boston" before kickoff. Good heavens.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. He said that in the middle of a BK is satan (for blowing him off at a Presser) rant.....Said BK didn't know shit about QBs and messed up a clear 5 star stud.

For my part, I have graded CJ Carr higher upside than Phil Roaming Chud.... I have him at a 4.95 Stars with a 5 Star Upside Rating... and in fact, have spawned a Dancing Emoji dedicated to him..... Go CJ!!!!

Where's the guy that said 5 Star Philure was still going to be a 1st round pick?
There was a legitimate wager on BGI over this.
A poster said Book would be drafted higher, & Book went 4th Round.
Another poster jumped in & said they would take that bet & to name the terms.
Evidently they did over private messages.
I would love to know what they wagered.

His other favorite ND QBs were Wimbush and Buchner. ND took the heat from him for not playing Jordan Johnson too. And lately, he has a hard on for Merriweather, which other sites showed some doubts before the season after watching him at practice. I quit listening to him before the start of this season.

If he only broke down film, he would be fine. Help explain concepts, alignments, etc…
But he had gone off the rails with inserting himself into ND’s business.
He openly admits he is mad because a friend of his didn’t get the Special Teams job. And he rides the current special teams coach hard. That’s his MO now.
