Washington, OK has a population of around 700. This kid must be a stud to get this much exposure and offers. Really cool recruitment and this kid clearly loves ND already.

Welcome to Notre Dame Nate Roberts!

That’s a hell of a pickup. His YAC skills and movement in space looks borderline elite for a TE. That’s about as good of an offer list that you could ask for.

Believe it or not Marshall really helped us here. Both his parents went there and Parker coached there. Biagi played there.

And because of all that, Biagi was all over him when he was at Wiscy.

OU folks think he's going to be a flip in the not too distant future. ND staff seems aware of it, from what I've seen.

Wonder if he either wants to stay close to home or OU is going to NIL us.

I really don't understand how Oklahoma continues to be such a thorn in our side. Take the negatives that ND has (new HC, mediocre town, bad playoff history, etc.), add a much worse degree, a much less favorable looking near-term future, a HC who's already on the hot seat, and a comparatively unfavorable NFL history for your position. I get that moving north is spooky for some kids but it's just weird.

Oklahoma seems to have a really good NIL collective. They're getting kids that they really have no business getting, given their on-field performance last year.

Cant wait till Oklahoma is losing 5 games a year in the SEC.

If he is going, better he goes now than a year from now.

wasnt the whole we dont need another 24 TE because we liked where we were with 25 TEs.

Does this change that?

It’s weird. I genuinely can’t think of a single reason why I’d want to play for Oklahoma over a number of other options, ND included. Riley isn’t there anymore and a weirdo took his place. Combine that with a bad location, a worthless degree and a second-tier slot in the SEC and I’m not seeing the appeal.

Nate’s at least a local kid, so I can understand a pull in his situation. But a random kid from literally anywhere else? It doesn’t make sense.

So I guess Oklahoma was probably always his first choice. It’s tough to beat the home school, but NIL makes it even tougher.
