Auburn 247 reporter thinks Auburn is out.
Came here to post this. Additionally, Ole Miss Rivals guy thinks it's Ole Miss with ND 2nd.
Auburn 247 reporter thinks Auburn is out.
Kids like this are the reason I have no trust in recruiting services. Was completely overlooked in the ranking process likely because he is an Alabama product, and wasn't heavily pursued by the home state school. If this kid would have committed to the Tide he would have been a high 4* recruit.
If you're Auburn you gotta be SICK about not even getting a look from this dude right?Kids like this are the reason I have no trust in recruiting services. Kid is so freaking good. Staff had the eval right at least.
Idk how he’ll feed his family with career earnings under $100 million. So guy in college realizes his chosen profession may have diminished value in the future and expresses concern. In other news, the sun rose today.
That's not a problem, it's a market. Some markets value things differently. Know it, plan around it, move on. If I were him, I would tell Kiffen I was on a pitch count for the year. The problem is the prime of a RB’s career is spent in college performing for zero pay (NIL aside) but the NFLPA needs to do something but they won’t because it would upset other position groups

He doesn't have to play running back. He's welcome to use his degree to pursue whatever he wants.Well it’s a problem for running backs lol

Honestly, it's not that unique. Of the first round draft picks of 2011 to 2020, only 44% went on to sign a second contract with the team that drafted them. It gets worse by round. So a RB not reaching a long term deal isn't super unique.Well it’s a problem for running backs lol

Hes not wrong. RBs aren’t getting paid.
King Henry, the best RB of the last five years, only got a $50 million contract, at $12.5 AAV, for his second contract.
I can see a scenario where college RBs are likely to try to secure better NIL deals or “acquisition fees” during their recruitment to account for lossed revenue as pros.

I don't think one year less of college is going to make a difference. The issue is the grind of the NFL, not the 200-300 carries they got their junior year. Sure, it doesn't help their cause, but avoiding it won't change the outcome IMO.That’s the issue. By the time they are due for that second contract they are already past their prime . The top guys need to be in the league sooner 3 years of college is too much for a Saquan or a Bijan Robinson

If they were that irreplaceable, they would get paid. But the marginal benefit of spending that sum of money on a RB versus another position is diminished in most cases. There are many serviceable RBs that can have 70% of the production for 25% the cost. If you were writing the checks, you would do the same.Idk, a running back like Ekeler and Aaron Jones catch the ball a whole heck of a lot too. I know Jones was the packers leading receiver too last year. Rb’s are getting screwed imo.
