I had a conversation with a friend this evening that is semi-connected here (@arrowryan can vouch for me as I’ve talked about this with him in the previous month or so). Said that while he hasn’t committed anywhere, he really only communicates regularly with ND.

I didn’t think that alone was worthy of a post, but Singer just posted that he’s figuring out a commitment for August and that Chad Simmons spoke with him tonight and said that ND is the clear team to beat.

Was it just me, or did anyone else pick up Mike Frank on Power Hour yesterday straight up include Lambert as a part of the 24 OL class when doing recruiting review? Maybe I just didn't hear it correctly or he was speaking hypothetically, but to my ears it sounded like he had a slip of tongue and just included this kid like he was already in the fold. Perhaps he's a silent already?

No, he said ND may be landing Lambert and then later said “if” they land him. I didn’t hear him include him at all in the class. It was all what ifs.

Ok thanks. I was multi-tasking and thought maybe he misspoke, leaked info, or perhaps I just didn't hear it correctly.

Guerby Lambert is nearing his college decision, and Notre Dame is the team to beat among the Irish, Boston College, Ohio State and Harvard.

The Simmons piece I mentioned.

“The coaches, Coach (Marcus) Freeman and Coach (Joe) Rudolph, they’re amazing people and just the whole coaching staff in general,” Lambert said. “Their players as well. When I went there, they were a group of players I could see myself around. And obviously, they have great academics there and amazing football.”

The elite offensive tackle also already has a connection in South Bend. Former Catholic Memorial teammate Boubacar Traore is an incoming freshman at Notre Dame and was a four-star defensive line prospect in the 2023 cycle.

“We were getting pretty close,” Lambert said. “At the end of the year, obviously, he got hurt and that hurt a little bit. It will be good to be teammates probably again.”
