The guy worked his way up to the Raptors job and then some. This is now NBA HC job #2 for him.

Pippen championships without Jordan: 0

Spoelstra championships without LeBron James: 0

Back to current events. Miami's best bet is to let Joker go crazy and clamp down on everyone else. I still have a hard time thinking if Giannis didn't get injured, Miami would have been knocked out in the first round, but they've kept on going regardless of any hypotheticals once they beat Milwaukee.

I'll go Denver in 6.

I am in the minority and with Scottie Pippen.

I watched all that happen intensely.
Jordan was a powerful winner, yes --- a nearly unstoppable clutch scorer.
But "There is no "I" in team, but there IS an "I" in Win" sums him up, as he himself proudly said many times.
I admired Scottie Pippen, Ron Harper, the get-out-of-way shooter/hustlers, the do-the-rough-work multiple centers, ALL more than I admired Jordan --- who, in the end, I have no "admiration" for. Those guys put up with a lot from him. Well, the only thing I admired about him in the end was that he DID want to play defense too. Some so-called "greats" don't bother with that.

So, Scottie, you have at least one fan here.

You don't hear much from Pippen, but when he does open his mouth............ lol

Pippen has always come off as a catty little b!tch when it comes to everything Jordan.

Look, I get that he often overshadows his teammates...but so does LeBron, who Pippen praises in that article. You don't get to have it both ways.

Just seems like a guy who's very insecure that his legacy isn't what MJ's is. I get that it must be hard, but have some respect for yourself, Scottie.

Sorry, Scottie. You lost me when you decided to sit at the end of a game cause you weren’t getting the last look. Should have learned from MJ a little there. He gave up the final shot to teammates on the regular…

Which is weird because he was voted one of the top 50 when they did that pole a while back. He needs a hug.

I knew he'd land somewhere, but that was fast.
It's more expensive than fast. This is his third coaching job and he's received the most lucrative coaching contract ever. Question now becomes were the Pistons bidding against other teams or just themselves.

This could be a very quick Finals.

Jokic had a triple double and scored 27 points on only 12 shots. It wasn't even that Miami played all that bad, at least I thought they didn't anyway.

only got to the free throw line 2 times in the whole game tho. Have to credit the defensive game plan of Nuggets but the Heat definitely can afford to be more aggressive going into the lane.

Heard on the radio that Pat Riley has been involved in 25% of the NBA finals as either a player, coach or executive. Pretty crazy stat.

Nuggets get their first title. That's half of the ABA teams. Time for my Pacers to get one and the Nets to complete the journey.

Within hours they were talking "Dynasty" among the pundits. There was still confetti in the air.

Jokic was a second round pick, 41st overall.

I saw a couple of articles about a dynasty prior to the final game. Sports media gets way ahead of themselves and likes to hype way too much.

What I like about Jokic is that everything he does really doesn't matter to him, it's just another day at the office. He puts up crazy numbers, dominates games, wins his first championship at 28 and nothing really fazes him. He seems to have a steel determination like he absolutely wants more.

That being said, the NBA is no different from other sports in that the league adjusts to whatever the current thing is. That current thing is Jokic being a big man on the best NBA team. Big men are back. So now the league will adjust.

The Rockets snagging Whitmore at 20th was a steal. Supposedly had a few bad workouts and interviews. Has the most NBA ready build of this draft.

I love the Heat's pick. "Yeah, we'll take the 22 year old from UCLA coming off of being Eastern Conference Champions." I like the way they do business.

Small sample size, but after two summer league games it would appear that Wemby is going to be a problem down the road if he develops the way he's expected to.

Rough first game, but his second game last night he was quite good.

His first game he looked fragile. His floor is Greg Oden, his ceiling is through the roof. I couldn’t help but cringe everyone he got hit or fell.
