Agree. It also brings up the question of the sports psychologist that is currently working with the football team. The one that BK had is really well known in her field and seemed to have great relationships with the team. I have no idea what the current psychology staff is like. It's all about how you handle the pressure.
Pressure. Makes diamonds and bursts pipes.no pressure no diamonds
are you saying we need more miners and less pipe layers?Pressure. Makes diamonds and bursts pipes.
It’s true, at this point we may need him more at safety than at WR. Two years of eligibility left, right? To me this is simple, if this was mental, he's had an opportunity to address it and regain focus. This spring needs to be about showing drastic improvement. If part of his issue was physical, fast track him to free safety.
If Watts and Styles were our starting safeties, we have a chance to compete with the elite on therw back end given what the corners displayed last year.
You can never lay too much pipe.are you saying we need more miners and less pipe layers?
You can never lay too much pipe.
I think he has to play S if he’s gonna play defense. He’s not going to be in any better shape for playing time than he is at WR if you look at the CB depth chart/talent. He’s got a decent chance to slide in front of Brown/Henderson.They certainly made it seem like a decision was set for today or tomorrow. I believe Freeman, yesterday, said we’ll know more over the next 24-48 hrs. I don’t think he’s a CB but he’d be a tremendous athlete and has the size for S.
Maybe he picks up the defense faster or has mor interest in it.
CB depth is good right now but I’m not sure we can trust Hart all year.I think he has to play S if he’s gonna play defense. OSU, USC, Clemson, NC State with Armstrong, Stanford’s new coach is a passing coach, Duke is a spread, WF is a spread, Louisville is a spread, so 8 of your 12 games you will be in nickel/dime a lot.You can never have enough CB depth when the two toughest games will be OSU and USC
Yep. Lots of these games I think your 4th CB may be more important than say your 3rd-best WR (pure guess that’s where he’d be at after Meriweather/Thomas).OSU, USC, Clemson, NC State with Armstrong, Stanford’s new coach is a passing coach, Duke is a spread, WF is a spread, Louisville is a spread, so 8 of your 12 games you will be in nickel/dime a lot.
Heck, even Pitt with Jurk will probably try to throw.
Well, there is that one guy, Benjamin Morrison. He's been alrightYep. Lots of these games I think your 4th CB may be more important than say your 3rd-best WR (pure guess that’s where he’d be at after Meriweather/Thomas).
Everyone (myself included) thinks we could have incredible CBs but I think that’s making some optimistic assumptions:
—Cam Hart’s shoulder may not hold up
—Is Lewis actually going to be a revelation at nickel?
—Mickey was up and down all last year and everyone is predicting he’ll improve greatly but you never know
—Hard to bank on Gray as a true frosh
—not a lot of buzz on anyone else
My point was the depth beyond him may be more questionable than people want to admit.Well, there is that one guy, Benjamin Morrison. He's been alright

Phil probably won’t even be healthy by the time we play them.Jurkovec as a hometown hero or not... Narduzzi will get naked and kiss a man on the sidelines before he turns to a pass-heavy attack.
They had one of the best offenses in the COUNTRY with Kenny Pickett at the helm in 2021. Dude threw for 4000+ yards and 42 (!) touchdowns...
Nard Dog hated it so much that he asked his offensive coordinator, Mark Whipple, to leave after the season. He cited "a lack of success running the ball" for the "mutual" parting of ways.
I don't think anyone is in denial about this. Our depth isn't questionable but if everything turns for the worst as your post mentioned, then we'd be in a bad position. Just like any program. This isn't a huge concern right now. Stack 2-3 injuries and it's a huge concern. My point was the depth beyond him may be more questionable than people want to admit.
