My real suggestion would be TJ Woods. Pretty impressive resume, was with Gary Anderson all those years. Career took a little downturn lately.

If Watt had solid experience at a school as the man in charge I could get behind it, but as it sits, no way. We need to poach a stud that won't piggie back off the talent currently in the OL room. We need someone that's going to make them take that elite talent to another level.

This has become a very important hire - we need a dynamic recruiter and we need a high-level developer.
LOL you know what will happen. ND will hire Watt or some easy cheap hire and then you will “…. Get behind the hire..” and justify it in some way and the press Ignore Button against those posters that view your homerish posts. No real analysis but life is good.

I figured Donovan Raiola should at least be considered. He worked with Hiestand.

I've been avoiding the "we're doomed" tone here but if we hire Watt I'm all in. Probably will be someone Parker, Freeman and GG have worked with, which means Cincinnati. At least Parker has been somewhere else. GG has spent most of his career at Cincy, the rest at CMU. Not going to be much help.

So is there any actual lists that have been floated out anywhere? If no, that leads me to believe they're leaning towards making it Watt. Very no bueno imo, but I've been wrong before so whatever I guess.

I wonder which situation would have had the biggest negative reaction from the fan base:

A. TR goes to Bama and three days later Parker is announced as the new OC.

B. Freeman reaches out to a number of potential OC candidates and ends up hiring Parker.

C. Freeman reaches out to a number of OC candidates - even brings a few onto campus to interview - does NOT take Ludwig to the hockey game and ends up hiring Parker.

D. What actually happened...

A, and by a mile.

The other three options suggest that Freeman attempted to make an outside hire.

I know people are losing their shit again over the possibility that Chris Watt is hired. Perhaps that's fair.
For those in that boat, would your perception change if it also meant Hiestand would still be involved in some capacity?

I agree if you are answering the question about levels of being upset with Freeman. If it's overall frustration, it's D by a mile.

1. Chris Kapilovic Michigan State
2. Joe Rudolph Virgina Tech
3. Stacy Searels Georgia

I'm close to more nervous about this hire than I was for the OC hire. Probably because I knew all along the OC hire would be underwhelming.

Yep, this one is vital. I am in the process of acceptance of the crap OC hire, need at minimum a good and established OL coach.

BTW, I like Watt. He's done a lot of good around the program and is ready for a bigger role. But the only significant work he has had is with Hiestand to this point. Would love him to get more experience around other coaches first.
