Florida has one of the most aggressive NIL games out there which is how they're trying to get past being bad on the field. Same with Miami. They are throwing money at the problem and hoping it works.
This typically doesn't always go well in sports.

We just got pounded with like a foot of snow yesterday(if his trip was planned for today).
I set my golf sim up at work and that may have been the worst driving conditions I've ever faced.
4x4 lifted beast of a truck was still sketchy when all you have is tire tracks in 10+ inches.
We got a good amount in a short amount of time and it all went East to the Lake, so my assumption is always that NW Indiana got clobbered. A dusting in the Chicago burbs can often turn to 6 inches in Hammond without issue from time to time.

Washington, Golden, & Rees were at his basketball game on Friday. Washington has done a good job recruiting him. I am not going to go into worry mode just yet. The staff will have plenty of other opportunities to get him on campus.

Was it confirmed they were actually there? I haven’t seen they actually made it.

Anxious??

Anxious??

Lol.

It’s called logic.

If you had half a melon between your ears you could see that up until a week ago he was going to announce this week. He was an ND lean into the fall and so called ND analysts had him projected as an ND commit. Then other programs got involved and he cancelled his commitment deadline for this week- despite getting plenty of attention from ND.

Whether it’s the limitations at ND, NIL or lack of closing ability by this staff…. We have a hard time landing many Top 50 recruits.

Thanks for the reply.

(Was honestly curious if you had read something beyond that reported timeline)

Perhaps I should give you a better response to make you feel better:

It’s clear Justin Scott put off his commitment date because he wants university of Georgia Alabama and Florida think he’s going to choose them when after all he’s just coordinating with Notre Dame and even a larger hat ceremony. In a clear coordinated attack he is going to take official visits at all three universities suck up as much resources out of them as possible and then reschedule his commitment date and will stay home and go to ND.

Source: NY Times, Driskell, Loy and Frank

Does that feel better? Unfortunately denial is not a River in Africa.

However slovenly your condition due to the sauce, it looks like you’re gonna have to pull up your big boy pants for this recruitment, drunk. If those schools weren’t after him, then that would be the bigger issue. Top 50 recruits in the ‘24, let me repeat ‘24, class are going to be hotly contested. That’s what happens when recruiting high caliber players, so you aren’t saying anything new, once again. Hard hat time.
All true but we almost closed him and he pushed away his commitment. Hard facts.

Said recruit, not currently committed anywhere, is re-opening his recruitment. That’ll never make sense to me but each their own.
He had an announcement day set, so presumably a decision had already been made and the process was shut down, even if it wasn't publicly disclosed yet.

I read on 247 I believe it was that he was need up with 2 basketball games. It was in the comments so take it for what that’s worth. Not sure if it was last minute or if it was already scheduled that way.
