Something def changed post Bowen in recruiting… with this class and transfers… not sure how they pivoted but it is working
Did they really pivot or have they just continued to do what was working? I mean, they did just sign a very good class.
I don't really know if I believe anything has changed. Or at least anything of significance. Have they continued to perfect the ND pitch to combat upfront NIL concerns? Sure. Do I think they're throwing money at these young men, upfront. Most certainly not.
As far as transfers go. Sam Hartman won't have to wait a single day until it's a money making opportunity for him. Same goes for most transfers, as they're moving to a better situation at ND, than where they came from. For JJP, he's moving to a better playing situation, likely with some guaranteed spot on the weekly depth chart as a part of it.
As far as recruiting goes, ND is always going to attract talent. It always has and always will. Nothing has changed. The only difference is the man in charge is a dedicated recruiter. Which is going to bring more consistent results. Money was always part of the equation for these young men and will continue to be so. Freeman and his staff being more dedicated to combating that time and time again is the difference. Not sure I think anything has changed just more of the same from him. Freeman was hired to be a dynamic recruiter. And he's doing just that.
