215 according to 247 out of HS when he signed with Texas. Probably wasn’t accurate and less but still, not sure what’s the case there.

Vaughns looks fast AF. But yeah 225 is same size as Kiser (but three inches taller). 10 lbs less than Liuafu. 40 less than Foskey.

Give me speed over size in today's game all day everyday.

Problem is I have to completely question his effectiveness outside the Mountain West playing at 225. If it’s a matter of they think he can easily tack on 10 in the spring with ND nutrition and Balis then great

Probably depends on where they're evaluating him at to play as well. DL needs rotation and outside of maybe the Navy game we'll see a ton of spread offenses where we'll need a boost in the pass rush

Could definitely see Botelho given the down to down responsibilities and Vaughns more opportunistic usage

ND really needs DTs more than anything because they're an injury or two away from being fucked at that position. We miss guys like Hinish and MTA who were just super physical inside and hard to move. I think we will be fine rushing the passer even without Foskey.

As long as they can figure out what they're doing on the DL, the defense is "arrow up" for me. I think the LB and DB situations will both be better next year. They just need to find a way to be physical on the DL to beat teams like Ohio State, Clemson, and USC.

Sucks we couldn't get Chris Smith back. That dude was hard to move. Stupid Ivy League.

Still baffled on Lacey, personally.

Agree 100%, it would be nice to add a couple of stout and serviceable DT’s. Difference makers would be great, but quality depth would suffice.

Thank you Clark Lea for much of the current concerns. The '20 and '21 defensive recruiting classes are.... offensive. He didn't even land Watts, one of, if not the best of the below group.

Between those two classes you have:

DL: Botelho, Mills, Aidan K, Ehrensberger, Rubio, Onye

LB: Kollie, Schweitzer

DB: Watts*, Henderson, Lewis, Riley, Barnes, Tucker, Walters

Plus you may see 2-3 of these guys transfer soon. Transfer portal will be a godsend this year in terms of experienced, quality depth. We have virtually zero of that at the moment.

I wonder if Bertrand can slide down and play NT if we're desperate, just like Calabrese

Has anyone visited besides Fiske, Hartman and Harper?

The safety from Ark is supposed to be visiting soon

I believe he visited Purdue either yesterday or today, but was scheduled to be at ND this weekend. Nothing has been updated since the original report earlier in the week.

Nope. ISD just posted he's not visiting because Harper committed.
Well that sucks. One's a role player or depth piece. The other is a sure fire starter and upgrade at the position when healthy.
